PROS:1. TropiClean eased detangling and reduced discomfort for my miniature poodle. It made her hair softer and allowed for smoother combing.2. The spray saved time because it was less difficult and quicker to get the tangles out.3. The scent is pleasant. The ingredients are all-natural, and it's a "leave-in" conditioner. There is no need to wash it out.CONS:1. There is a potential for residue. It isn't greasy, but I think if used too frequently, there would be an excess build-up on the dog's coat. After using TropiClean, you can feel that something has been worked into the hair when you touch it.2. This is a grooming aide and a short-term solution, not a substitute for regular grooming care.I sprayed her ears and muzzle, worked the detangler into her hair, waited 30 minutes, and then combed her. Of course, routine brushing is essential to prevent matting in the first place, but she had been sick and missed both her home brushing and groomer's appointment, so I'm glad to have TropiClean on hand for just such occasions.

Smells great. Somehow seems to begin untangling immediately upon spraying onto hair/fur. Makes the detangler’s job easier.Look no further. Highly recommend.

Our long-time groomer insisted that our Goldendoodle would need to have his entire face shaved down to the skin due to the sides of his face being “badly matted”. There was nothing he could do and that we were welcome to take him to another groomer to see if someone else would groom him without shaving, stating that he had never seen anyone take this on in his “17 years of grooming”.Well, I got to work immediately and began researching the best products to try and and detangle him and ended up getting this spray along with the “Poodle Dematting Fur Rake Comb Brush for Dogs and Cats - Long 2.5" Steel Safety Blades Metal Comb for Detangling Matted or Knotted Undercoat Hair” which is also available on Amazon.The products worked GREAT when used together, though it did take over an hour of slow, gentle combing after generously spraying down the matted areas. I was careful not to hurt him, and ended up doing it for another 30 minutes the next day before taking him to a new groomer, who was able to give him a great haircut with NO need to shave!Hope this helps if you find yourself in a similar situation.

It actually made my poodle's hair crunchy and hard at the touch. I use their shampoo and conditioner so was a little surprised. The scent is great tho.

Great product. Just be careful when straying inside your house as floors become very sleepers

if you have tile or laminate or wood flooring beware, it will make your floor dangerously slippery. use it outside because of that.but otherwise it works wonderfully. i have a longhaired large dog and we went on vacation and something about the transit and the location she was locked up in mats. I tried to get them out while we were away and could not.ordered this to arrive when we came home. and almost immediately the mats came out.

It makes my dogs’ fur incredibly smooth and silky, and it smells very good. It doesn’t smell artificial at all; it has a naturally pleasant scent that we can sleep with. I have been using it since I first got my dog, and I haven’t found anything else I would like to replace it.
