Useless! No Uplink Ports
Couldn't use it right out of the box. The uplink ports were missing entirely. There was a big, gaping hole where they should go, but no ports. It looked as of there was something that needed to be plugged in there to make it work. I would have tried my old SG220 uplink ports if it wasn't for the fact they are a different physical configuration. Our old SG220-48 had uplink ports, I would expect them on this one, too. On this new unit, the rack ears were not painted to match the case, they were bare metal. I would have preferred the old matte black finish for everything, including the rack ears (the old SG220 came with black rack ears), to match our existing plant equipment in the rack. The boss likes black, and so do I. Cisco support was abysmal, I never had so much trouble getting help with a new product out of the box. Apparently, even though there's a link on this Amazon sale page to connect to the Cisco store and support, this isn't really Cisco. At least, that's what I was told by the a couple of the customer service reps I talked to. I don't know what to make of this transaction. I had to finally relent and create a Cisco account, which I have never had to do in 20 years of using Cisco products, but the service reps were hell bent on me having that registration, or all bets are off to get any hint of support, even for a new product right out of the box. Everyone that I spoke to had a very thick accent and spoke too rapidly to communicate well and they all had crappy speakerphones, or headsets that were hardly audible or comprehensible. Again, something I haven't experienced with Cisco before. My overall opinion is very low of Cisco right now, with a very poor customer experience. I even had one customer rep tell me the switch was designed this way! What, with a gaping hole in the front of the case? I'm astounded at the level of gaslighting I'm getting with Cisco lately. Very unprofessional, I would not recommend, even though I've been a steadfast Cisco customer for over 20 years! Finally, after talking with three other terrible customer reps, I got a fourth that was at least willing to start a return case for me through Cisco warranty replacement. So, I'm going through that right now, to see if I can get this unit exchanged for a proper one. This is really bad, since our old unit warned me it's about to fail by completely crashing the other day before Christmas. Now, I could be waiting much longer for an urgently needed replacement for what was supposed to be the replacement for my old SG220. This will be a disaster if I can't get this unit replaced before the old one completely fails! Update: Cisco was making the return process so complicated, I just decided to initiate an Amazon return. Cisco made the RMA practically die with their Guided Flow process. They had the wrong company name and no correct information, despite me registering our company with Cisco's system. I couldn't change it and customer service was running me around. So rather than fight it, I just am going to use the Amazon return system. I will purchase this elsewhere. It just sucks Cisco makes returns and exchanges so difficult. I may even consider some other product now other than Cisco because of this entire terrible experience.

Eternal reboot loop
After unboxing tried setting up mini network and verify the UI, etc. Found the device kept repeatedly rebooting and device never negotiated a DHCP address for the web ui. For a brief time during the reboot cycle packets did switch, however. Tried factory reset to no avail. Returned.
