Cute camera, but unfortunately I can't overlook the obvious problems...It's small and compact which is nice. The mic on the camera records at low volume, but if you plug in the external mic that it comes with, you will get a much clearer and louder recording, especially if the db boost is turned on. There is a little hiss in the high end but that's to be expected with many mics.The zoom function is the worst obvious defect of the camera. It zooms in incriments, or spurts and is incapable of zooming smoothly or at any decent distance. Furthermore, every time you press the zoom button there is an audible beep sound which was unbelievably loud and obnoxious during playback. I went into the settings to disable the beep sound and was suprised to find out that you can't disable it. You can only set it to loud, medium, and low volumes. So in other words the zoom function is essentially unusable.The video quality looks decent but is very grainy in low light, and the camera doesn't seem to have any stabilization feature so the footage plays back very jittery if you don't have it on a tripod, or have very steady hands. The description says it has stabilization and night vision, but after browsing around, I was not able to find any settings to turn these on.The white balance has three settings, but on default, the red colors looked closer to brown on the screen.Long story short, I see this more as a camera for beginners who are just exploring with video.However, I must note that the average cell phone produces extremely better quality than a camera like this. Considering the fact that most people nowadays seem to have their own cell phone with a built in camera, I don't really see much purpose for a camera like this. I would not use this camera for any type of professional recording, unless I was specifically trying to create the effect of having a low-fi camera, in which case it could be useful.I just tried to give the camera one more chance by raising the videio quality to the highest and shooting some footage outdoors in the sunlight, but about 5 seconds after pressing record, the entire screen turned green and the camera froze up. I can not even turn it off, short of detactching the battery. Furthermore, the last two clips I shot were corrupt files that would not play once transferred to my computer, only confirming that the camera is highly flawed.Truthfully, I think the microphone is of more value than the camera. I'm curious to see how the sound quality might compare if plugged into another camera.I wish I could say better things about it, but then it wouldn't be an honest review.

The camera is great! My husband loves it and will be buying a second one. Just the batteries are no good. Out of 4 batteries from 2 different shipments only 1 battery was worth it. The other 3 would not hold charge.

I like this camcorder. I was looking for a camcorder for vlogging and came across this product. This is very user friendly, easy to learn and come with all the accessories. You only need to buy an SD card and everything else is already included in here. Especially it has stereo microphone which is important and helpful while vlogging. It is light weight and easy to carry. I am satisfied and recommend this purchase.

Easy to use and good deal for price.

To be fair, this is a simple, modest little camera with simple features and performance, but even these are useless if it will not "plug and play." My laptop recognised the camera was connected to the USB port and loaded the drivers, but no install screen would appear on screen, nor was I able to access the camera through any apps, control funtions, device controls, you name it. My other computers had the same problem with it, and even attempts to connect it to monitors and televisions proved futile. Particularly aggrivating is this company's lack of a helpline to call or access online. This might be an isolated situation, and the return/refund was handled promptly, but it was a disappointing experience.

Great for the money

I purchased the camera to do some instructional videos for an education platform. Based on the price and the various reviews, I was expecting something mediocre. Wrong. It was worse than even my expectations. Right out of the box, the SD card would not insert and stay in the port, the picture quality was very substandard, etc. If you are looking for a budget friendly Video Camera...... increase your budget a bit. Was not worth the money and I suspect neither are most if not all at this price point. IMHO.
