I know this is designed for grandparents. However, my husband travels a lot for work, so we gave it to him. It's simple to set up and be ready to receive messages.The app is user friendly.The kids have enjoyed sending notes to Dad, and Dad likes seeing them at the end of the day.Yes, they talk on the phone and text, but this just feels special.

Be sure to check out my video review in the review section above!The Lovebox does exactly what it says it'll do : from an app it's possible to send short notes, photos, drawings, etc. to a loved one in possession of the wooden Lovebox anywhere in the world.When a note arrives at the box the little icon on the front will twirl indicating a message is ready. Lifting the lid off the box will reveal a screen with the message. A twirl of the physical icon on the front of the box will send a flood of hearts back to the app to acknowledge receipt or just as a gesture of love. That's it. But it works as advertised.If the recipient of your Lovebox is not that tech savvy you may want to set it up for them first on their Wifi. It's not a difficult set up process but it does require connecting to the Lovebox's wifi directly and setting it up to connect to the home's wifi.It's not possible to scroll back through older messages on the box but you can do so on the box. Without paying a rather expensive subscription fee you'll only have messages retained in the app for 30 days.Overall this is a cute idea and I think might be a fun gift for a loved one. It doesn't do much but it is relatively simple to operate on both ends.

This was a gift for grandma from the kids. It was a success it’s easy to use for her and fun for the kids. Every one enjoyed using it. The set up over all was not bad at all.
