Good product, used to get cv boot over cv joint. My advice is to grease the cone with the CV joint grease fully and turn the boot inside out and put grease on the inside of that too. Make sure you have a clean pair of gloves that have grip on them and ensure the outside of the boot is clean. Have a heat gun handy and warm the boot up. Then force the boot to the very end of the cone using the ground to push against. Once the boot is at the end of the cone, place the cone on the CV joint and with all your strength push the boot off the cone. This is more difficult than it looks but with grippy gloves it does work. Now it's on the drive shaft, the boot can now be turned the right way round.

Although this is technically just a plastic cone. It works! Albeit with a lot of force to bit by bit move the boot down the cone. However it saved a lot of money and further parts. I found using lots of wd40, and using plastic trim pry’s to work the boot cover down bit by bit. The cone size was than large enough for my Freelander 2.

A very good and useful tool, it makes changing the cv boot straightforward.

When the item arrived I thought that's big, a long way for a standard cars cv boot to stretch over without tearing the rubber. So out withe saw and cut it down to the same size as the cv joint and all worked fine. Wouldn't recommend for the smaller cars like fiestas,golf,fiat 500 or alike as far to big a stretch for there small cv boots
