I like that it keeps dust and crumbs out of my keyboard, and I prefer the tactile feel of typing with the cover. The colorful one is also very pretty. I have washed it once (with liquid hand soap and water) and used the clear one while it was drying. Works just as well, but I missed the colors so I switched back.
