Bought this and installed it myself, love that I can easily adjust the fan speed, the noise level is a bit louder than I’d like but the efficiency of circulating the heat makes it worth it! The fan noise is not distracting, no different than the furnace running really. It was the perfect size to squeeze in between the framing and the gas line for my fireplace. So easy to install a single woman can do it! Easy to wire and power up!

Works as well as similar fireplace fans, which all appear exactly the same, for one-third the price. The wiring came preassembled except for connections to the fan unit. The instructions are not very useful, however you can find video instructions on other product sites. The fan does displace more heat than the fireplace did on its own but is not extremely powerful. It’s also relatively quiet unless turned to the maximum speed setting. The fan wire length is sufficient to reach the back wall and the fan unit just fits under my Heatilator fireplace. Six key items to know when installing this fan: 1) Even though the wiring tag states that either wire can be connected to either fan terminal, it actually does matter and won’t work if reversed. Test it out to make sure it works before installing under the fireplace. 2) The magnetic temperature sensor should be installed upside-down underneath the fireplace (ideally near the bolt sticking out from the bottom but not critical). 3) The green grounding wire can be attached anywhere on the frame of the fan. I screwed it in underneath the plastic loop using the existing screw although I’m not sure why the loop is there. 4) Fan speed knob is attached to the black control unit using the small tightening screw. I assume the washer goes on first followed by the threaded nut but not sure. 5) Plug the fan into the Remote/Aux outlet under the fireplace since it is always-on rather than into the Fan outlet which is a switched outlet. 6) The fan unit should be installed against the far back wall of the fireplace with the fan air opening facing straight upwards.

A basic fan that functions nicely, but at higher speeds can be a little loud. Gas fireplaces aren't really that efficient and most gas fireplaces has space all around the main heated enclosure. These fans are designed to push a little more air causing some circulation into the area surrounding the gas fireplace. it was designed to be placed against the back wall of the fire place pulling cool air from the bottom and forcing air up the back wall acting as a heat exchange to get warm air to come out the vent at the top. In practice it works ok because there is no ducting surrounding the fan unit causing air to circulate a bit around the unit instead of through the unit up the backside. Placing the unit on the back wall is difficult with the thick vibration dampening foam they provided. It causes half of the output of the fan to be blocked. I ended up using thinner foam and velcro so that I can easily reposition the fan up against the back wall without causing extra vibration. As for function the fan has worked flawlessly and automatically turns on after the fireplace has heated up a little (therefore only blowing warm air). There is also a delay shut down which allows the fan to keep circulating while the unit is still hot/warm after the gas fire has been turned off. Ample wiring is provided for the unit to be placed freely and the potentiometer allows users to adjust the speed and ultimately noise level of the fan. The instructions left a lot to be desired. It does not tell where or how to place the heat sensor or how it works. Many gas fireplaces also use a junction box for AC power to the fan which requires a 14 gauge jumper lead to activate. For the price it is a nice unit. Will report back if it fails.

Easy installation and works completely as advertised. Made a big difference pushing warm air into the house instead wasting that energy out the chimney to the outside. Makes a little noise, but nothing the volume control on the TV can't handle; no effect on any conversation in the room.

Easy to setup, incredibly quiet, fan works well, and a lot of the wires were already hooked up. Only con, the instruction manual left a lot to be desired. I ended up using the photos on Amazon as they were better than the instructions that came with it. Overall, it took me about 15 minutes to setup and works great!!!

Blower works great, easy to install, place heat sensor, and speed adjuster. Adds heat to the room that was being wasted! Dealer wanted $500 to install, did it myself in 45min

These work, easy to install and work as they should. Dimensions are close enough to the "name brand " unit the fireplace company sells for 4x the price. This fan is no louder than any other gas fireplace blower fan.

The install was fairly easy, though getting your hands back into the space under the firebox is a little tight. Instructions are not very detailed, so you should consult the internet for better installation videos or instructions. The fan speed can be adjusted and moves air gently, but positively, giving you the heat that would otherwise be lost in the area above the fireplace (in my case, an empty wall cavity). It is a little noise, probably due to being mounted on sheet metal which acts as a sort of sound board. Still, turn the TV up a couple of notches and it's no problem at all.

Great price and works great. The only thing is that the temperature control switch needs to have a longer wire. No matter where I put it under the fireplace , it did not get hot enough to turn it on, so I just removed it as I have a fan switch on the wall. Not noisy at all.
