Good ultrasonic cleaning, hose still tricky, review of dryer and tablets included
In short, this is a good ultrasonic cleaner that doesn't necessarily make cleaning much easier than soaking a hose and mask in vinegar solution, but it does reduce the time somewhat while doing a more thorough job more easily than you could by hand with detergent. The device contains a rather powerful ultrasonic transducer and heater. Make sure not to turn these on without filling with water or they'll overheat and take damage! For this reason it's a good idea to NOT plug it in until you have water in it.The heater is primarily intended to keep hot tap water from cooling down and it will take 20+ minutes to heat up cold water, so the instructions tell you to fill it with hot tap water before turning on the heater. There isn't much chance of the hot tap water being too hot and this will save a lot of time waiting for it to heat up.The ultrasound takes the place of scrubbing which you'd ordinarily only be able to do with a really long "snake" wire brush, and you probably wouldn't do as good of a job without making sure you scrubbed the whole thing several times over. While manufacturers don't really require this, it gives you some idea of which part of the work the ultrasound is doing for you.The main difficulty with this unit is keeping the CPAP tubing 1) full of solution and 2) submerged in the water. The second problem is solved with a metal plate that weights the tubing down and keeps it under water. They've also started including a silicone strap that can be used to strap the tubing down to the plate by hooking the strap onto some "peg" bolts in the plate. I haven't found this necessary though. The first problem with keeping the tube full isn't entirely obvious as to how to solve, but the solution I've come up with is to 1) mix up any cleaning solution before putting anything in, 2) double the tubing over and hold both open ends in your left hand facing upwards with the tube hanging down, 3) put the drain spout into one end of the tubing and open the valve until the tubing is full of solution. Only once you've mostly filled the tubing with solution (leave two inches or so of air to prevent spilling), put the tubing into the basket and it will sink easily. Then put the plate on to keep it weighted down. The two inches of empty tubing should fill with solution rather easily. The drain is a very good feature to have and it's also great that they included some tubing in case you want to drain into a sink that isn't right next to the unit.Cleaning TabletsThe ingredients appear to be very similar to the ingredients in non-chlorine-bleach effervescent denture/retainer cleanser tablets. Can’t say exactly how the formula might differ or from which specific products, but I wouldn't recommend just using denture cleaner because denture cleaners weren't made with CPAP equipment materials in mind. Some have chlorine bleach in them and may have other things that aren't good for the plastics being used. The CPAP cleaner tables were actually intended for use on CPAP equipment, so even if they started with "denture cleaner" as a baseline formulation, they've presumably removed anything that denture cleaners might have that would damage the materials used for CPAP parts.Roughly the purposes of the ingredients are:Sodium bicarbonate: this is just baking soda and both makes the tablets fizz and eliminates odor.Potassium peroxymonosulfate, sodium percarbonate, TAED: these are standard “OxyClean” non-chlorine bleach type chemicals that kill bacteria, remove stains, and destroy odors with reactive oxygen.Citric acid: descaler, kills odors, effervescent with the baking soda. Like the baking soda, the main purpose here is probably to create fizz and dissolve the tablets, but any that survives that reaction is also useful for cleaning.PEG-150, sodium Laurylsulfate: surfactant/detergent. These are standard detergent type ingredients that dissolve oils and other stuff that is hydrophobic (doesn't dissolve in water).Sodium benzoate: very common bacteriostatic antibacterial/anti-fungal preservative.Peppermint, indigo: color and fragrance. But there's really very little smell from this solution, so the scent barely does anything except make the bath smell a little better. The color is also slight and mostly lets you see that you didn't forget to add a tablet.Nothing terribly controversial here. All of them are used in generic cleaning products and some of these are also used in food in very tiny amounts. The only potential problem is for those who are allergic to one of the ingredients, but that's a potential problem with everything thus why the ingredient list is provided. While the CPAP equipment manufacturers might "not recommend" the tablets if asked, that's probably going to be because they haven't reviewed the ingredients themselves and it's safer to just tell people not to use anything they aren't sure about. You can also just use sufficiently concentrated vinegar solution as specified by the equipment manufacturer. The tablets should be more effective than vinegar though and roughly equivalent to the "mild detergent" they do recommend even if it isn't standard dishwashing liquid.I wouldn't call myself much of a cleaning products expert, but I'd give the tablets an A rating for being as simple as possible using only the most widely-used time-tested ingredients and essentially being like dilute denture cleaner with anything harmful to the equipment removed.ConclusionIf you're already satisfied with just soaking the equipment once a week in vinegar solution for 30 minutes then this product won't save you any trouble, but if you can't stand vinegar smell and want better cleaning anyway then the unit and the cleaning tablets are going to be easier and do a better job than washing with dish detergent by hand in the sink. There are probably some improvements that could be made, but they aren't obvious and will require some inventiveness to come up with.

Works great
This works great for cleaning my elderly parents’ c-pap machines. Like all the other appliances needed, (or wanted) it takes up quite a bit of space. It’s a little annoying to have to get this out every week, but it’s what has to be done. The machine does a great job. Just remember to close the valve so the water doesn’t leak all over! Yes, we did that ONCE. Lesson learned. But, I don’t think it needs to be so pricey. Many elderly people need these c-pap cleaner machines, and their income is more fixed. Hopefully, the manufacturer will bring down the cost a bit. My parents have had it for a couple months, so if something changes, I will update the review.

Size of tank too small
I should’ve researched better, but the D3x doesn’t have a tank large enough for the top and bottom pieces of the Resmed Airsense-11 humidifier. They have to be cleaned separately. Otherwise it’s great.

Love the Sanibot!
Regular cleaning of the CPAP hose and tank is always challenging and it takes a long time - probably the reason I don’t do it often enough. Well, problem solved with my new Sani-Bot ultrasound cleaning machine! While it larger and heftier than I imagined, it is well built and easy to use. One trick is to fill the hose with water before immersing it into the reservoir of water. That ensures water in the hose will mix with the reservoir water and leave no air pockets during the cleaning cycle. Other than that, fill the reservoir with water, hose, mask, etc., drop in a cleaning tablet, place the lid on and push the button to start. 10-15 minutes later, turn the knob to drain and you are done, almost. One of the added challenges of any CPAP cleaning effort is drying the hoses - well, problem solved again. The cyclone attachment (mini air fan for an added $34.95 charge that you have to buy direct from Sani-Bot as Amazon does not list it for sale) dries the inside of the hoses with ease. Everything nice and clean and ready for use! I look forward to continued use of my Sani-Bot cleaner and cyclone dryer.Update March 15,2023: performance of the Sanibot had been great! Easy to use and really cleans the hoses of my CPAP. The cyclone fan is a nice addition to ease the drying of the inside of the hose. My wife asks me to clean her hose as well. Highly recommend the Sanibot!

It has changed my life
When I first learned about this product, I wasn't too sure it would be effective. I am happy to say it has far exceeded my expectations and has really changed my life. I would often clean my mask, tubing and water reservoir with baby shampoo and hot tap water. I would constantly get sinus issues and just felt sick alot. That doesn't happen anymore! I sleep better and have more energy ever since I first started to use it. I am not saying it is a cure all, I am saying that it has done wonders for me. The machine heats your water and uses ultrasonic technology to thoroughly clean your equipment. It does not take that long to complete. I normally choose 10 minutes and 120+f to clean. You have time and temperature options. It is constructed well, very sturdy and certainly does the job! Very satisfied!

Doesn't match picture
As far as I know, this is cleaning my cpap. But it doesn't match what the picture looks like. It is super bulky. I haven't seen any extra bubbles or such other than the cleansing tablets. Bubbles which are kind of like alka seltzer.

Best way to clean cpap equipment
It is large enough for one hose and one cushion. It seems to clean well. I have not bought or tried the dryer. I am a bit reluctant to use the electric dryer next to the wet c3.

The button panel locked
I liked the system when it was working. I've had it less than 3 months and the panel locked up. I cant do anything with it. I called the customer service line to find out it was not in service. I filled out the online customer service form, and I haven't heard from anyone. Looks like they don't stand behind their product. I would not recommend. It a high dollar item in comparison to some of the others. It should last longer.
