I throw hatchets on occasion but mostly plan to use these on kindling and smaller wood projects. Right away I could tell these would not be ideal for throwing because of the finger grooves in the handle. The handles are comfortable and they come with a bit of polish on the metal surfaces. I also like that they come with ballistic nylon blade covers and the metal surfaces come wrapped in plastic. Edges are not perfect but I see no major problems with them so far.

I was dissatisfied with my tiny little Ned Foss throwing axes so I want to try this. Much better, longer and heavier. Still solid steel. A little concerned the rubber on the handle is slipping from the throwing action. I also am looking at a larger 16 inch ax I saw at a sporting goods store. About the same design but sized more like one you would find at a throwing establishment.

The quality of this product seems good. I bought it to keep in my car in case of an emergency situation. I am giving it three stars because the product looks used. It's pretty scratched up and has a few nicks in the metal. I don't really want to go through the hassle of returning or replacing it but just be aware that you may not be getting a new item.

Well they are a full tang construction, but the handles are only lightly glued in. So after only a few times of use, two of the axes came out of the handles. But the steel is good so just got to redo the handles.

This axe is made of very soft steel. Do not even attempt to hit the back of it with another axe!

Even though there are some scratches and the handle was not in my aesthetic domain, the axe is fairly in weight and sturdiness. It shall fit both tactical and tooling.

My husband and son threw their axes for about 15 minutes and the handle on my sons flew off. Both handles are split in multiple places.

Bought for throwing. Only complaint is the handles keep sliding off.
