Review: Best Compression Stocking I Have Found - I never use any other brand of compression stocking. These are by far the most comfortable I have ever worn. They keep my leg swelling in check. they look good. They wear for a long long time with proper care which is every easy indeed. I just wash them by hand and air dry them and I have had a pair of these last more than a year.
Review: Super value, great quality and fit ... - I've been dealing with chronic venous insufficiency for a number of years. It's progressive, though, and I'm now having to wear compression stockings daily to prevent swelling and stasis ulcers. I've been prescribed custom-made knee highs, but this brand was recommended to me by my local med supply as a good "backup" pair due to my measurements (I'm tall). I'm blown away by how comfortable these are! The quality is excellent and the fit is as close to perfect as one can get without going for custom made compression socks. I use a "sock butler" aid Mediven Big Butler, for Larger Sizes, MDV90000 to get into my non-zipper socks, and these go on very easily using it. I can usually get them on in less than 10 minutes. They stay up, don't bind at the top, and the toe area is purposely loose-fitting. As long as you get the heel in the right place, you shouldn't have any problems with tight toes. A note about fit: if you are short, be very careful, as these do run a bit long. You would probably do much better ordering the "short" length. I'm 5'8" tall, and I have to be careful getting them on not to stretch them too much going up or I'll end up with excess sock at the top, not a good thing as it then binds around my knee. I've learned, though, to put them on carefully, so I no longer have that problem. That said, these are an amazing value, easily outperforming other similar products that retail for 4 times the cost. I wash mine out by hand each night -- just swish them around in sudsy water (I use a mild soap), then a quick rinse under the faucet, and hang to dry. By morning, they're ready to wear again. I've just ordered two more pairs (another black pair, and a beige pair). Measure carefully, and order the size shown in the chart in the photo above. I really do like these, and can recommend them highly.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What makes Truform different from other compression brands?**
A: Truform is part of SAI Brands, a family-run business in Cincinnati, Ohio since 1893. With 100+ years of medical manufacturing expertise, Truform maintains its own FDA-registered factory to ensure regulatory compliance for Class II medical devices.

**Q: What makes Truform Class II medical compression different from Class I general compression?**
A: Class II has a verified compression profile for a specific medical use and is regulated by the FDA. Class I is for "general use" such as lifestyle-type shapewear and sports performance. Class II must register a UPC and/or UDI barcode with the FDA.

**Q: How do I know if compression garments are Class I or Class II?**
A: Class II is a higher level of registration and device class which can be identified in the FDA's GUDID database. Unique Device Identifier (UDI) barcode and lot code are required on all packaging. If the barcode contains letters it is not Class II.

**Q: How do I know what compression level is right for me?**
A: If you are new to medical compression start with 15-20 mmHg. If you have no symptoms, are interested in preventative care, and or sit or stand for long periods of time then start with 8-15 mmHg. From there move up to higher levels as needed.

**Q: What does mmHg mean and how does it relate to graduated compression profiles?**
A: mmHg is a measurement of pressure and stands for "millimeters of mercury" - the highest number is the tightest point of compression (at the ankle), from there pressure decreases to move blood up the leg. This gradient is called graduated compression.
