Minecraft Woodsword Chronicles Collection: The Complete Books 1 - 6 Novel Series Box Set

Great book to enjoy with the kids.
We’ve been trying for awhile to find a good book series to read at night with our two sons. Oddly the second book in this series ended up on our bookshelf somehow (maybe Book Fair?). My sons (8 + 3) got into it very quickly, because it’s the second book we didn’t have to go through the character introductions and story setting we were just thrown into the story. They like the action, crafting and the age-appropriate scary zombie stuff, and for the adults it has enough of a mystery that you are compelled to keep reading and get excited for story time.My oldest son likes to interrupt with “Minecraft Facts” and I periodically stop reading to ask him some questions about the lore and intricacies that he covets about Minecraft. My youngest LOVES the pictures, which show up almost on every page so he is able to follow along even though much of the story is above his level. After finishing the second book we absolutely needed to get the rest of the series. Right now we went back to the first book and are having a good time with it. I highly recommend these books. Not only do they revolve around a game that is imminently fascinating for kids of a certain age, it has really subtle life lessons and social lessons built into it as well. Big plus is that it’s a little bit scary, it feels as though it has real stakes inside and out of the game.

Wholesome, STEAM, and a whole lot of fun.
I love this series for the kids. There are 5 kids who are friends, different abilities and backgrounds, who all love Minecraft and get to go inside the game. They have adventures every book where the real world and Minecraft present problems they need to work together to solve, using their unique talents. It’s also engaging. My son is a reluctant reader and I rarely find something both he and his sister like, so I love these books for that. We read a little nightly and are sadly almost to the end. I love how these children work together in the books and all talents are needed, from artistry, to construction skills, to outside the box thinking. Very impressed with this series.

Good stories, bad binding.
My Minecraft loving son, likes these chapter books. When he got to the fourth or fifth book, the pages toward the beginning and end were falling out. Poor binding/ quality.

Keeps 9yo reading
My 9yo enjoys this series and has worked his way through this set. The binding on a few of the books has already given in and the pages ce loose during the first reading.

Poor Quality-Pages fell out
These books are bound cheaply. Just opening the book caused pages of these books to fall out. Additionally the series is not numbered so it’s a process to figure out what order they should be read

Nice stories, but books were poorly made.
My son was thrilled to receive the books and binged on them, but they were poorly made pages start to drop on the second day. A little disappointing tbh.
