I looked up inmformation on the cr2 battery and its impossible for 15 of those to fit on an ipod. what is the real description of the battery used?

Don't know battery description, but can share this: My 1TB SSD iPod Classic currently has almost 38 thousand songs on it and still has room for more. Technology keeps decreasing the size and increasing the capacity of storage devices. All of my reworked/upgraded iPod Classics register as 1TB and work well.
