Kiss and Don't Tell

Extremely disappointed- badly written and unoriginal
Where to start? After being hopeful that Meghan was getting back to her best, I was very disappointed with this. In fact, id say it was the worst MQ one ive read. It had a good premise but was spoilt by too many cliches, clunky dialogue and being longer than perhaps was necessary.Firstly, let's deal with cliches. The gay best friend. I am getting so tired of the flc having a gay male best friend that falls in to the ott bracket. It seems authors can't believe that a gay man might actually not be have to be camp, give fashion advice, overly gushing and interfering when having a female best friend. I'm not sure why this seems to be becoming so common but I hope it changes. Also, why is it always a male gay best friend? It just seems like lazy writing on the authors side when they can just cut and paste the same character in to each book. The neurotic friend. Again, this is becoming more common and my reason for being annoyed with it is the same reasons as above. In well written stories, the character might be a bit ott and cautious but Katherine is just obnoxious. Whilst the friendship between her, Max and Winnie isn't a major plot line, there's enough in there to make you wonder why they are even friends. I can only assume it's ground work for her own book and there's a reason she's the way she is, but it'll take a lot to make her likable if that's the case. The team dynamic. I think MQ started with a way of identifying members of a team and has stuck with it, even when it's now tired and boring. We always seem to get a moody one, a quiet one, a player with a big heart, a heartbroken one and the mlc who goes supposedly against the grain of a sportsman and wants a relationship. Whilst the teammates in this were fairly well written, it's far too easy to be able to interchange them with the group's of friends from her other series. Also in this instance, the swapping of surnames and first names get a bit confusing, especially as some of them are similar to each other.Unusually for this author, there is some very bad clunky dialogue, particularly the 'dirty talk'.ย "I'm pounding down there" was just one such terrible line.We also get the ex who was bad in bed and the flc is shown how good sex can be. I don't see why this has to always be the case. If the flc has been treated badly, why does this need to be an issue as well? All it does make the mlc seem like an arrogant idiot who only cares about proving how good he is in bed against the ex, rather than it being about him and her.I liked the way Pacey and Winnie grew from friends to more but it was possibly about 50 pages longer than it needed. The good thing about the book is that those of us of a certain vintage will have an image in our head when we hear the name Pacey (There is a reference to this at the beginning).Although his looks are different, I could only picture a certain actor, which wasn't a bad thing....I really hope I don't have to write such a negative review like this again. I suspect we'll be getting books for the other characters so I'm keeping everything crossed it'll be a vast improvement on this.

Such a sweet story
Iโm a huge fan of the Brentwood Boys series, so when I saw this advertised I knew I would love it. Best of all itโs a hockey romance.I love the vibe and connection between the two leads. Pacey is do sweet right from the beginning. Yes he is a little misguided but I canโt say I wouldnโt do the same in that situation. The story is a bit of a slow burn for me but good all the same. There are serious moments, but some hilarious moments tooI absolutely love the neurotic best friend and all of the hockey players. This book is good if you love slow burn, two nice leads and hilarious friends.

Its not the best I have read from this author
It was just an okay read. I have read several from this author and thought that with 450 pages it would have some depth to it and a time for the characters to develop but it didnt happen. Winnie gets caught in a storm and ends up at a cabin where five star hockey players are relaxing. She ends up staying because her cars in a ditch and Pacey takes a fancy to her. Lots of nothing happens and then two start getting more touchy feely and that she is his half brothers ex. Pacey has been having migraines but just after a really bad one he manages to have sex with her.....mmm.

brilliant book
I loved this book so much, it was sweet and funny, with just the perfect amount of heart and steam. Winnie was adorable and pacey Iโm stealing for my book boyfriend pile.I love Max and even neurotic Kathrine and donโt even get me started on the guys. I really hope we get more from this group as I need to see them all get their HEA

Amazing!
Once again I have fallen head over heals in love with this new sports romance series. I loved all the characters and I can't wait to see what Meghan has got in-store for the other Hockey players. As for Pacey and Winnie, the main characters in this story, they are super sweet. I loved how their relationship was a slow burner. I was unsure if Pacey was going to be paired up with Winnie as he didn't seen to show much interest in the beginning. But oh boy was I wrong and it soon becomes apparent that these two have ridiculous sexual chemistry. Their story is filled with LOL moments and heart break. But don't worry Meghan will break your heart but also put it back together. Don't want to spoil this for anyone so I won't day much more but please give this a read if you've not come across a Meghan Quinn book before, she's an amazing author!

Loved this quirky, funny, sexy hockey romance. My first book by Meghan Quinn and I loved it.Loved Winnie and Pacey together. They meet by chance when Winnie's car breaks down and she stumbles upon a lodge with 5 hockey players enjoying their down time.Winnie definitely keeps Pacey on his toes.Loved the banter between the group and Winnies friends Katherine & Max added a fab dimension to the book.Hope there's more from these boys.

Engaging Romance
I didn't think that this was the best offering from this author. The names of the ice hockey players were confusing, though the character set up made me want to read further books in the series. I liked the romance between Winnie and Pacey, but thought the book dragged on a bit in the middle.
