Would purchase again without hesitation
This cable was used to efficiently connect two UniFi switches. It’s been in service for a month and has had zero issues.

Worked right out of the pkg...
Just got these in and tested them Feb 16, 2026. So far, so good. Linked at 10Gb between 2 UniFi Dream Machine SE SFP+ ports (on the same router). No errors logged. Will test to a UniFi 24-port HD PoE SFP+ port when those switches become available; and intend to update this review.

Works between Netgear GS316P and UniFi Dream Router 7.
My main switch in my home network is a Netgear GS316P, which has an SFP+ port on it, so I used this cable to connect it to the SFP+ port on my UniFi Dream Router 7. It's honestly unnecessary because the PC's on my network will never get 10G, but it's nice to know the bandwidth is there and maximized. Plus, the SFP+ uplink frees up an Ethernet port on the Netgear, which is almost the better reason I got the cable.

Works with Ubiquiti Unifi SFP+ to SFP uplink
The Dream Machine Pro has two SFP+ 10Gbs ports I used them to uplink an old Ubiquiti US-24 Unifi Switch using one of the two native SFP ports, but also to uplink a newer Switch Pro 24 PoE that has 2x SFP+ 10Gbs ports. These cables allowed the auto-negotiation to work fine for each of the switches. I didn't have to fiddle with anything, other than re-classifying the UDM SFP+ WAN port to be just another LAN port. All is great right now.

Using with unifi dream machine se and older generation 24 port unifi Poe switch. Works as expected.

The cable didn't actually work for me, but not at all a fault with the cable. I tried to connect a HP ProCurve 2910al-48G-PoE+ (J9148A) switch to a MikroTik Hex S router, but they couldn't communicate with each other. When I checked the logs on the switch, there was a warning that a hotplug attempt had been made on one of the Dual-Personality (SFP) ports with a "Non-Genuine-HP DAC cable" followed by an admonition to only use Genuine HP products. A genuine HP cable costs over 20x what this cable cost me, and both the router and switch are limited to 1 Gb speeds anyway, so I returned this cable and just used a 3-foot CAT5e to connect the two instead. This DAC is probably fantastic, but because of HP's draconian business practices, I won't ever know, and have to waste one of my precious few ethernet ports on the Hex. Five stars for the excellent customer service from Amazon and 10Gtek.

Was nervous about potential compatibility issues, but I plugged the cable into my Netgear GS728TPP and Ubiquiti US-24 SFP ports (1 GB), and they were instantaneously connected. No reboot or restart required. For those less technical, such as myself, this is a complete product, with no gotchas. Plug and Play.
