why is metafolin better than folic acid

Not an expert, but Metafolin is the naturally occurring form of Vitamin B9 (aka folate) used by the body. Folic acid is a synthetically produced form of B9 and is converted to folate in the liver. For some people, such as myself, the body cannot convert folic acid into folate. This is the reason I take Metafolin.
