Can i use this to retwist my locs since its light?

Not Sure if it would stay, its more to use as a curling cream for hair that's already curly.

Does this leave a residue when it dries?

Not too often, you need to evenly distribute it throughout the hair and it works well and won't. I put it on my daughter's hair damp or dry. I loce it and it smells good too!

Does it work well in humidity?

I started using this in the winter and noticed my hair 3b/ 3c , was crunchy when dried. I did not like the crunchiness as I like the smoothness, and softness to natural curl / waves. I never used it again.
