JUNIPER RIDGE White Sage & Wild Mint Tea

I love it. It really takes me back to the hills of California. I make this every night with a few Bay Leaves to have fresh cold brew tea in the morning. The packaging is great and they donate a huge percent of profits to charity.

The teas I've tried from this company (the sage/mint and the douglas fir) have a really clean and intense flavor. The douglas fir has a fascinating and unusual flavor and now I can't stop drinking it. The sage/mint is excellent if you want something strong and herbaceous that feels very cleansing. For some reason I always crave sage tea when I'm under the weather... unfortunately this has had the side effect of making me associate the flavor with illness, so I don't often crave it when I'm healthy! But at the first hint of a cold, this will be the tea I turn to.

One tea bag is more than enough for the 1L Zojurushi thermos that I put this in and carry around with me. I had bought the Juniper Ridge shower gel for my husband and started using it myself because I like the smell. Then I was at my acupuncturist drinking their tea and realized it was from the same company. I didn't even knew they made teas! I couldn't find it locally because it was sold out. So I ordered it and it's like a savasana (corpse pose) in a cup. What I mean is, the flavor is really calming dandy grounding that it seems to remind me to take deep breath and enjoy some stillness while I am drinking it. I'm a busy mom with over scheduled kids and it's a nice way not only to get your water intake in but have a moment to yourself.

I love all things sage, but this tea was a bit too much for me. Tasted like a cleaning product, but I liked the smell so I would set the box out.

Unfortunately I live on the east coast now and I can't get to my beloved southwest as frequently as I'd like but these teas (and fragrances) are fantastic.
