It really does seem to work
I had open heart surgery last year and have a 10" scar on my chest that I figured I'd just have to live with. Then I heard about this stuff, and wondered if it could help reduce the scar a little bit at least--maybe flatten it a little and fade the color a bit. I had no allusions it would erase the scar from view, like the photo on the packaging seems to suggest. Well, I've been using it daily for about 6 weeks and I can say that it has definitely flattened out the scar and I believe has helped the color fade a bit as well. It's difficult to say for sure about the color because whenever I remove the tape to shower, the edges of the scar are deep red due to the pressure the tape exerts on the scar when its worn. If I leave the tape off for a day to give my skin a brief rest, that deep red goes away and the coloring of the scar does seem fainter. I think I'll be better able to tell about that once I stop wearing the tape for good. But another benefit of this tape is that it almost completely eliminated the intense itching and stinging I experienced with my scar. I guess it's due to the pressure the tape places on the scar, but however it works, that was the best benefit of them all. Anyone who has had open heart surgery will know what I'm talking about when I say the stinging and tingling and itching can be awful at times, so anything that can help with those things is a godsend. The only problems I've had so far is the tape curling at the edges, like others here have noted. I just cut my strips about an inch longer than I need to begin with, then can simply trim those curled edges every other day or so until the strip needs to be completely replaced. Each strip does tend to last about 2-weeks, as the packaging says. And yes--you do need to remove these strips before bathing. The packaging insert says so, and common sense should also tell you that, as your skin needs to be regularly washed. You'd change a bandaid regularly, wouldn't you? This tape isn't covering up an open sore, but it's still clinging tightly to your skin and closing off your pores.

Outstanding quality silicone tape
For the past two years, I have been self conscious and irritated by a scar on my hip that resulted from a picking at a pimple or ingrown hair. It is in a location that is constantly aggravated by friction from clothing, especially suit pants and belt. The scar started to get more uncomfortable with time as well. I saw Aroamas Scar Removal Silicone Tape on Amazon and decided to give it a try. This product actually works very well! Before placing my order, I did read all of the customer reviews and noticed that one person claimed that the silicone tape rolled up on them while wearing, so I was a little worried about this being an issue. Thankfully, I have not had this issue at all. In fact, I am amazed at how the adhesive seal is on this silicone tape, yet it is completely pain free when I purposely peel it off to shower. The tape can be used multiple times and the adhesive seal is consistently strong. After a few fees, I can already see and feel a significant improvement with my scar! The color is much lighter and the scar is smoother and more level with the surface of my normal skin (not raised up as high as it was). I am EXTREMELY happy and satisfied with this product and the progress made in a relatively short amount of time. Prior to using this silicone tape, I had tried Vitamin E Oil as well as Mederma Advanced (which is much more expensive), but after months of using Mederma, there was absolutely zero noticeable improvement and my scar was just as uncomfortable as before I started treatment. I firmly believe in, and recommend, Aroamas Scar Removal Silicone Tape.

Stick On and Forget, Even with Sweaty Activities
I have been using this product for two weeks now to aid in the healing of a small surgical incision/scar. I also have the Silicone Scar Gel from the same manufacturer so check out my review there for more info on that product. I have been very impressed with the adhesive quality of this product, even on long sweaty bike rides or a two-day sweaty backpacking trip, and it handles the necessary showers after those activities as well. Given this, while I have not tried it swimming, I would suspect it will also handle that like a champ. Even when I am active I am usually able to go several days between having to replace the strip with a new one. Unfortunately, it is too early for me to comment on the actual effectiveness of this product to heal scars at this point. Hopefully, I will update this review with results in the future. In short, this is an easy product to use that is cut to size, apply and forget that lasts several active days at a time, and feels comfortable. For my skin tone, it is not very noticeable. I am not aware of this being available in different shades and so if you are not privileged to match the color of the product it will likely be more visible. (Note: I was encouraged by the retailer to leave this review, however, I fully stand by everything I have said.)

Easy Application
This is an easy at-home approach to discourage the growth of keloids after surgery. My doctor recommended these silicone bandages however it takes time for them to be effective. I was advised to use them 24/7 for a minimum of 9 months.

Great for new scars.
Comfortable and works well to smooth out a new surgical scar. Husband and I have both used this product and were happy with results. Less expensive than the precut strips.

Fantastic results
This tape is super easy to use and stays put!! I've been able to bathe without removing no problem. I keep the tape on for a week or so at a time. Silicone tape was recommended by my surgeon and this tape is perfect because it can cover a long scar. It has significantly improved the look and feel of my incision. I've been using for about a month and will continue to use for a while longer. I'm definitely happy with my results so far.

Scratchy
This wasn't what I expected. I had surgery on my neck and was looking for silicone scar covering. This is not smooth and the edges were scratchy on my sensitive skin. It wasn't a good choice for the spot I needed it.

Strong adhesive tape for scar treatment
This tape works great for scar treatment after thyroidectomy surgery. Previously was using Scar Away, but it was no longer available to purchase. Unlike Scar Away, this tape does not seem to need daily washing for adhesive to work. It is a much stronger adhesive than Scar Away and seems to be more effective at the scar healing. I did have to cut this in half length wise, as this was a bit wide, but that's a good thing as the tape will last twice as long. This tape is also more invisible than Scar Away for my skin color, as it is more clear than beige. The only drawback is that the silicone adhesive may pile at edges and leave little grains on the skin when removing, just have to rub that off.
