Is the new version better?** A: No. I’ve had a couple of the old design and love them. Smooth, and after yrs, seem to never dull— self sharpening also. The new design SQUEAKS horribly. After realizing that, I ordered another that was listed as the old design. I received a new model again. :( Also squeaks. Now I have no idea what to order. I’ve relied on Dahle for abt a decade. Hated Fiskars and the guillotine type (neither have had accurate 90° angles. What do I order now?? Bring back the old design, Dahle.
