Indesit Freestanding I1D80W 8kg Vented Tumble Dryer - White [Energy Class C]

I am very happy with this tumble dryer, it is lovely looking and easy to use. Just a simple warm or hot setting and a time dial, less to go wrong! The drum and the door seem huge so great for duvets etc. It dries the clothes quickly and evenly as the drum rotates both ways. The filter is easy to remove and is located inside the door so no bending when cleaning. It’s about the same noise level as what you would expect from a dryer. The outlet vent is around the back of the dryer and comes with a bendable metal hose to dispel the damp air, so no need for emptying any water tanks. Comes with a UK plug, and was delivered to my kitchen with care and pleasant couriers very polite. I definitely recommend.

This little vented hole in the wall workhorse replaces an all singing no dancing Bosch Condenser air pump dryer that simply wasn’t fit for purpose.Firstly, the back story. The Bosch Condenser dryer was purchased by my Uncle pre-stroke. When him and my Aunt had just a couple of loads a week. Every other week he had to remove the filter at the bottom of the dryer, get a bowl and a large cloth, un clip a panel at the back/ base of the dryer, stick the cloth in to soak up the water built in the resivoir wring the cloth out into the bucket and repeat until the resivoir was empty. If he didn’t do this the dryer would be on hours and the clothes would still be wet, the Dryer would shut off because it would overheat even though the condenser draw was practically empty.I knew non of this until I had to rediculously play out this chore on a daily basis post stroke.Double incontinence means a lot of washing daily. Something a condenser dryer cannot cope with.Needless to say I hunted down this genius old fashioned invention that is simply a timer knob and a high/low heat button. I had a vent put in their utility wall and hey presto, washing fully dried within 40 minutes.I’d highly recommend the Kiss (keep it simple stupid) products over the flash but no substance eco drivel spouted in their advertising. It can’t be economical if the dryer is running for hours. It can’t be environmentally friendly or sustainable to over consume electricity to try to dry clothing that should take 30-40 minutes. We don’t need lights in dryers, nor to be able to turn it on through a phone ( don’t run any dryer when not in your house).Ultimately I’m really pleased with the performance of this dryer. Highly recommend.

This is a good tumble drier but be warned that when I went to register the supposedly free parts warranty payment was asked for and the lady I spoke to pointed out that they were not going to give it away were they? This does not bode well should anything go wrong with the item in the future!

Quality machine. Drys quickly with a great cool down cycle. Reasonably quiet for a tumble dryer. Looks smart and does the job! Not to costly to run if you use it for around 40/50 mins at a time which is usually enough to set a full load after completing an extra spin and drain in washing machine first.

This dryer for me was surprisingly large inside and a large door, making loading and unloading easy. The dryer spins forward and backwards meaning bedsheets don't end up getting twisted. The vent where the fluff gets caught is large and easy to clean and the door feels solid when opening and closing.

Arrived on time. Easy to plug in and use. You just rotate the timer or how long you want. I really like this feature as my old tumble drier just had pre-set times, 30, 45 or 60 minutes etc. so I think I wasted a lot of electricity for having to use 60 when probably 50 was enough. You can also stop this tumble drier whenever you want and if the items are dry just take them out and either reset the timer or, because it is mechanical it will carry on counting down and switch off itself. My old tumble drier just carried on from where you left it so if your washing was dry it would continue the cycle on the next load, even if you switched the power off. Very happy :)

This product is not getting hot anymore so is not drying the clothes. I have only had it just over 3 months. There are only two adults living in the house so it has only been used 2-3 times a week. Amazon assistant was helpful and referred me to the seller, who just referred me back to Amazon. I have never experienced problems with tumble dryers in the past and have been using them for 48 years. I certainly didn’t expect this new one to break down jut 3 months after installation by an Amazon engineer. I do not recommend this product.

This dryer is simple, works well and was inexpensive We already had the facility to use the extraction hose straight outside so it was the perfect set up for us.Friends who have condenser dryers say they simply don't work as well as this old fashioned type (the clothes take longer to dry with the condenser type)The dryer arrived very quickly.
