Anker Magnetic Phone Grip, MagGo 610 Ring Holder, Adjustable Kickstand, Only for iPhone 16/16 Plus/16 Pro/16 Pro Max/15/14/13/12 Series

As usual, Anker does not dissapoint in the electronic accessories department. I was looking for a ring grip that had checked all of the following boxes: -Easily removable (so that I can use wireless charging when needed) -Sturdy enough to support the phone in my hand -Flexible in it's rotation -Doubles as a stand -Bonus points for looking aesthically pleasing This device meets all the above criteria in spades. The magnet has the PERFECT amount of adhesion when paired with my magsafe wireless compatible charging case. It has also a pleasing matte grey finish on the outer ring and a gunmetal finish on the clamp and inner ring. Other reviewers have noted that the ring tends to loosen over time. I am hoping that I don't experience that but will update my review if I happen to experience that as well. In the mean time, this is another knockout from Anker.

I recently got my hands on the Anker Magnetic Phone Grip (MagGo), and it's nothing short of a game-changer for my iPhone experience. This device does exactly what it’s supposed to, and I really liked having the extra grip for my phone - my phone being just a little too large for me to comfortably use one-handed without feeling like I’ll drop it. The ring is slim enough (though does add a slightly uncomfortable extra bulk to my never-large enough pockets). The magnet is decently strong, holding up unless you begin flailing around while holding only the inner ring or drop your phone. It does add a bit of heft, but not TOO much. The inner ring can act as a stand of sorts, and is comfortable enough to use. You can even choose which way you want the inner ring to fold out by swiveling the magnet around! …But the one issue I keep running into is: I keep losing them! I’ve purchased two in less than two months, and lost them both. I use wireless chargers much of the time, and so I have to take off the ring to use those. Or, when driving the car, I have to remove the ring to get it to fit comfortably into the mount I have there. So when I set it down and forget about it, or it slides or rolls away in my sleep? Gone. Nigh impossible to find. Worse, if it HAS escaped - It’s a magnet! There are any number of unexpected metallic surfaces in my house or in the car that it could be attracted to, so trusting in gravity to bring it to the lowest point is a fruitless endeavor. I’m usually very good about not losing my things, but these slippery buggers are testing my patience. These cost enough that the first one was an unfortunate “my bad” and I grudgingly ate the loss, but the disappearance of the second just has me groaning and trying to decide whether it’s worth testing the “third time’s the charm” adage. Is it really useful enough to me to bite the bullet one more time? …I haven’t decided yet. I wish they had built-in AirTag support or something, so I could find them again. If I do buy another, I think I may have to go for one of the more brightly-colored ones. TL; DR: It’s nifty and does its job well. Just don’t take it off your phone if you can help it, or you risk losing it.

Pros: - The magnet is incredibly strong and what you would expect from a brand like Anker - For the price it is, the build quality is amazing, and the hinge the ring is attached to is very sturdy - The kickstand is good for both vertical and horizontal stands, although the vertical angle could be low for some. The horizontal could be up to almost 90 degrees though if you want Cons: - Because the ring grip is metal, it's slippery and not reliable for 1-finger gripping. I find myself adjusting my grip constantly, or having to support the weight of the phone with my pinky or with another hand which defeats the whole purpose of a grip. I think It would've been a massive improvement if there was a rubber or silicone coating - Anker being primarily a charging tech company, I would've expected their grip to be thin enough to allow for MagSafe charging, like the Snap 3 or 4 for example. Although those are double or almost triple the price of this grip. They don't advertise that it is compatible so it's not like it's false or misleading advertising, it's just disappointing that it's not. It's not for everyone. I personally am not the biggest fan but my friend tried it and loved it. So it depends on who you are and what you like it

I hadn’t too much concern about quality given it’s an Anker product and they definitely delivered here. The MagSafe ring is really well made, feels really sturdy and attaches to the phone with a good amount of force so there’s no concerns of it coming off unexpectedly. I didn’t realise but once attached it allows easy rotation 360° (The actual magnetic base remaining in place) which makes it easy to adjust without concerns of scratching the back. I was finding the iPhone 13 Pro Max a bit heavy and unwieldy but this is a complete game changer for me - I’ve tried a few different ring positions and it’s easy to find one that lets you hold the phone in a more comfortable position that spreads the weight better across your hand and provides a more secure grip. To me this is an absolute must for the iPhone 13 models, as they are pretty chunky and heavy. I love the fact it acts like a pop socket as well as a stand for watching movies, and it can be removed easily if needed. As some other reviewers mentioned getting the ring out once flush is a little fiddly, a small tab on the inside of the ring would solve that but I haven’t found it to be too big a deal but definitely an improvement for a future revision but I’m glad it folds down flat without anything sticking up as I use it in a sleeve case. Well done Anker, finally a useful accessory for me for the MagSafe feature!
