I've purchased other electric tea lights in the past but wasn't satisfied with one thing or the other... battery replacement is a pain and expensive, rechargeable coin cells are similarly expensive and the charge doesn't last very long, and most of them just don't look realistic. Even some of the rechargeables with a base are a problem when they have a thin pole you're supposed to impale the candle on to charge it. Those charging rods are usually very thin and easy to bend or break.This set solved all of those issues. The candles just sit directly on the charging base and they 're magnetic so they align themselves to the charging nodes. The candles last for about 10 days between charges, the remote works well and gives me several options for timers and either flickering or steady light, and they look about as real as electric tea lights can look. Nice soft glow and the flicker of each candle is independent, so they don't all flicker in unison. It would be a pretty good trick if you could get real flames to do that, but then the real flames would look pretty fake too. :)Love this set.

Almost $10 per tea light, are these expensive? You bet they are. But they are also absolutely worth it. My wife loves tea lights and she predominantly used battery operated ones and I was constantly switching out expensive button batteries that only lasted a few hours. These not only look better with a higher build quality, they last for hours and hours, and are ridiculously simple to recharge. When they say they burn for 100 hours they’re not kidding. And they respond very well to the remote control. If you want restaurant quality tea lights, these are the ones to buy.

My wife has a large gold metal tree in her home yoga studio that holds tea lights. We started with traditional burning tea lights, but reaching through the tree to light—and then extinguish—all of them was challenging. So, we migrated to battery-powered tea lights—but again, there was the resistance of reaching in and switching each one on one at a time—followed by the hassle of periodic battery replacement. These Rechargeable Tea Lights have solved all of those issues. Hit the remote; the tea lights come on; instant ambiance. The price initially put me off, but now we use the tea lights all the time because they're so convenient to turn on and off. The remote control is a weak link —sometimes, it takes a few clicks to get them all turned off. So, we've decided not to use the timer function on the remote because some of the lights get the signal but the ones that don't end up staying on all night (not good). Conclusion: These Rechargeable Tea Lights have exceeded our expectations and are a pleasure to use daily.[Update after 3 months] We love these candles — purchased Oct 8, 2022. We use all 12 several nights a week—easy to toggle on the mood with the remote control. :-) Actually, our fixture requires more than 12 candles—so I am eager to purchase more. We don't need the Charger (because the charge truly lasts 100 hours per candle), and we don't need the Shades (because we drop them directly into tea light holders). ### HL, it would be quite helpful to many of your customers (including me) if you could make available a 6-pack or 12-pack of additional candles to augment this wonderful set. ### Would it be unreasonable to ask how you could meet the challenge? :-) ###

I am a loyal, long-time customer of HL Tealights. The rechargeable tealights from HL are a commercial grade, safe alternative to traditional tealights and designed to provide years of use. The latest generation of these rechargeable tealights have an integrated battery that lasts twice as long between charges compared to previous models (~100 hours). The remote controls on/off, brightness, flicker on/off, and preset time (2, 4, 6, and 8 hour) functions. I use my tealights year-round and have them set to turn on automatically at 4:30 and off six hours later at 10:30 daily. I recently had the opportunity to contact their customer service and was pleasantly surprised when they immediately responded to my inquiry and provided a resolution that not only met but exceeded my expectations. This is a five-star product that is backed by five-star customer service support!!!

These are soooo worth the money. I use them for my Halloween decorations, they all turned on at the same time every night and turned off at the same time every morning for TWO WEEKS without charging!!! Last waaay longer than advertised. I need to try to find another set with smaller size tea lights, these are bigger than standard tea lights so they didn’t fit in some of my decor. I absolutely love these!! To use the remote you have to get very close to the tea lights, but if you’re using an automatic timer function this really doesn’t matter. I charged them, set up the 8 hour on, 8 hour off charge and didn’t have to do anything with them for two weeks! They’re the best

I like the flicker mode, which makes the amber color lights seem more like candles. The pastel colored version doesn't appear to have the flicker function, but rather the color flares up and cycles back down, which I find to be annoying. Maybe they're less distracting in a room with overhead lights on, whereas I use them without overhead lighting as nightlights. I thought before receiving them that the color was on the tea light itself, not in its lighting. As you can see in my photo, for example, I use one amber light in a candle lamp as a nightlight in the bath, and also one in a bedroom.I have not tried the timer nor the remote functions so can't rate those features. Customer service is helpful and responsive luckily, since there is not enough info in accompanying literature in my opinion, e.g., about whether to do a full charge before use nor what type of rechargeable battery these are. Their product info in the box says they're rechargeable and magnetic, but doesn't tell you if they're lithium batteries, for example.
