So basic, strange that it works so well.
OK, I tried different variations on Cook settings & styles. For me, this turned out perfect. I have a sharp carousel 2.2 in.³ 1200 Watt microwave (Every microwave setting is different, so you may have to experiment). I set it for one minute at power level six. I took a small dab of oil and put it inside the cup, wiping it around inside. I then filled the container halfway (yes, half) with water (water must be the first thing, then put in the cracked egg). Covered lid, did not do any poking of the yolk with a fork or any other extra work. Came out perfect. Just a suggestion, if you’re going to experiment with your microwave, put a kitchen towel over the container to reduce your frustration if something goes wrong and it pops. I know that filling the container halfway with water may seem odd, but it actually cooks the egg evenly and is more of a poached style (just hold the container sideways afterwards to drain water). I have a steamer to poach eggs that I bought years ago, this microwave recipe is identical. I raced myself using my stopwatch, traditional stove top method versus this microwave method. From start to finish (including cracking the egg and clean up afterwards) the stove top was 12 minutes, the microwave version was 2 minutes !

So easy to make poached eggs
I like to make my own sausage egg mcmuffins at home and was looking for an easier way to make the poached eggs. I read other reviews on this and decided to order it. After receiving it I took other reviewers advice and didn't listen to the instructions. I found the perfect time and setting for my microwave and how I like my eggs (with the yolks being a little runny). I have a GE microwave and I put the eggs on 1 minute 26 seconds on level six and it makes them perfectly. I do add some Pam so the eggs won't stick and a 1/2 tsp water to the eggs prior to putting them in the microwave. This certainly makes making my mcmuffins so easy in the mornings!

Sunnyside up eggs in a minute!
I bought these to use for work. I always think that eggs are the best and easiest proteins. And any lunch seems extra fancy with an egg on top! I took a star off because if you don't put some oil or butter on this then your eggs will stick to the wall. I don't have oil at work and I don't like to cook my eggs with butter. I've been using water so it's like pouch egg. All and all, good little gadget for microwave eggs, easy to use, easy to clean. Will probably use more of this now since we are lifting our Covid teleworking policy and going back to working in the office starting in May.

Eggs stick to the plastic and are hard to clean off
I carefully followed the instructions. However, the eggs stuct to the plastic, and they also boiled over. The stuck egg white was hard to clean off the cups.Next, I wiped the inside of the cups with a light coat of olive oil before cooking to prevent the eggs from sticking to the plastic, that worked, but the eggs still boiled over.Once, I forget to pierce the egg yolks, the eggs exploded, blowing the lid off the cups, and made a real big mess in the microwave oven. Real junk, waste of money. I finally just tossed them in the trash.

👌 It's something convenient
The best result is without water and run about 1 min then it's perfect for me!

Lid Does Not Stay Closed
The top does not have a hinge or anything to keep it closed. The only way to keep egg off of the microwave is to put something on top of the lid to keep it closed.
