Minecraft English Ages 7-8: Official Workbook (Minecraft Education)

I got these for my son, my daughter liked the look of it so I got her one too. Offered them pocket money for them to complete :)

Bought this as a way of encouraging a very capable, but very unenthusiastic boy to get more engaged with his English homework. The exercises are great, and the layout clear and easy-to-understand. Highly recommended.

This series of books have been great for our seven and ten year old. The maths and English books all use the Minecraft theme really well. Our two boys play the Kindle app version quite a bit so these really got their interest. We got a few of the age rangs of maths and English books, good for revision of the earlier learning during lockdowns and sharpening their skills they be are on now. The short sharp tasks around the Minecraft theme, characters, locations and stories gets them keen to complete tasks and earn emeralds. They have actually been asking to do the work booklets as extra homework! That is a first. Very pleased with this addition to the series. Excellent.

I bought this for my son to try as he struggles with his reading and writing and needs lots of encouragement. I didn’t really expect much as we have tried several workbooks in the past and he quickly loses interest but I thought it was worth a try as he loves Minecraft.He absolutely loves this book and has consistently completed a page a day without losing interest, he even asks to do more!The content is great and covers everything in the Year 3 curriculum from what I can see. The tasks are manageable and interesting enough to keep him engaged and he likes collecting the emeralds for each task completed.I would highly recommend for any reluctant readers/writers who need some extra motivation.

This is the third one of the minecraft series I've bought and I've got to say this English one continues to the same high standards that made me so relatively impressed with the maths ones too. The minecraft theme has been surprisingly well integrated into the book, it's NOT just some token illustrations tacked onto some dry standard text, but it's been well constructed by someone with actual understand of the minecraft universe, as the education points made are tied back in a really engaging way. Very impressed.
