Numenera Players Guide*OP

The book basically takes the character creation chapter and provides it in a book that you can easily provide to the players without having to worry about them finding out things you don't want them to know about the world and the setting.Not exactly a 'must buy' but I found it very useful myself, as I prefer to keep the players in the dark about stuff their characters shouldn't know about. Nothing things a game quite as much as a player breaking character and proclaim "oh, it's a monstrous beast of runawayington" when you're having them face down an alien and intimidating foe for the first time.

A must have to pass around the table during character creation or level ups. It is just a section fo the main book, but the practicality of it is worth the extra cost. I would give it five stars if they had bothered to include at least a few new things. Maybe an index to features in other books useful during character creation?

It is very handy, in a manner you can hand it over to players and they need not to bother with all other aspects listed in the Corebook. But it is not essencial, since all information listed here is present in the Corebook.

Book arrived, and it's fantastic. It's almost essential for any player that wants to play. The core book is amazing, but this book is a huge resource for the players and I wouldn't recommend trying to play without it. Book is fantastic, though the front cover on my copy got cut a little short, it's about a twelfth of an inch off from the rest of the book on the right hand side.

This book only provides information on character creation and does not give any info on actual gameplay. If it had only included those 2 things I would say this was the perfect book for basic players. Alas.Also, if you aren't playing with Cypher cards, you'll be borrowing someone's book to look up what your cyphers are / do a lot. I'm sending this back and buying the Corebook instead.

Just what the player needs. It could use a little more options for each character type, but that will be coming in supplements, I'm sure.

The book was great-it really helped my players get a sense of the system and helped them make their characters. I gave each player a book to allow them to read about the background at their leisure.

It helps a bit, but honestly, I wish i'd just put this cash towards another big orange book or copy of the player options one
