Like a hitch pin, it inserts into the receiver tube to hold a ball mount or accessory firmly in place—but with added theft protection. METOWARE hitch lock prevents unauthorized removal of your trailer or equipment. Featuring a barbell design, METOWARE hitch lock has a 5/8" pin diameter for 2" receiver tubes (not compatible with double-walled tubes). It includes two end caps, a key-operated cylinder that locks with a quarter turn, and a watertight dust cap to resist corrosion. **Q: In the description it comes with "2x solid bass keys". can i order it in salmon, cod or trout? i'm not partial to bass.**
A: Good choice as the “bass” keys were hard and had a metallic taste

**Q: I lost both keys can I buy just the keys and are they universal?**
A: I have 2 different sets of Metoware hitch locks and the keys are different keys.  Check w/ the Metoware.

**Q: Anyone know the weight capacity?**
A: I do not. BUT it is every bit as strong/solid as any hitch pin I have ever seen.
