**Q: do the holes line up to replace the standard plastic flip baggage latches?**
A: No, probably not. The latch style door holders are out to the side of the door. These will be mounted in the middle of the door. You can leave the old one in or remove them and fill the holes.

**Q: Does anyone know the strength of these magnets? I've seen magnets advertised as 10 lbs, 15 lbs, 25 lbs, etc; just wondering how to compare. Thanks**
A: These magnets have about a 5 lb pull force. You don't want much more than that as they can pull away from the surfaces they are mounted to. It doesn't take much force to keep doors open at an almost vertical position.

**Q: What is the thickness of these wen stuck together?**
A: They are the exact same size as the OEM so probably a bit over an inch thick when stuck together.

**Q: Are the magnet strong enough to hold up the front basement door, on a fifth-wheel (not vertical, like side doors)?**
A: Really depends how big, heavy and position door needs to be held in. Worst case you may need to use two pairs on the one door if it’s heavy enough.

The magnetic door catch was the perfect size & it was very cost efficient. The magnets did exactly what it was purchased for, to keep the door from swinging back while in use..BUT, what I was not impressed with, was the backing adhesive tape. It wasnt the 3m tape that it really should & needed to be.. the adhesive on the tape just wasnt strong enough to hold the magnetics in place. So I dont suggest just depending on the adhesive backing tape to hold it where its placed, because it will come off & you definitely will need to use a nail or screw for wherever that you do plan on placing this magnetic door catch. But all in all its a great strong magnet that does work as long as you mount it with either nails or screws & not depend just soley on the adhesive tape.

My travel trailer is 8 years old and my original magnetic catches were showing signs of being weathered. Ordered these and replaced all catches. Installation is simple. Just screw out the old ones and screw in the new ones.
