It won’t start a charge on a dead small lead acid battery but will top off and maintain well.

I am using this to charge a 7ah trolling motor battery. I also use the battery for a portable pellet grill that runs on 12v. This charger does a good job of charging the battery and did so at the rated output. It did get fairly warm but I expect that when running it at full load. Overall it works well and has a good price.

This works and it’s very light and not unbearably slow
We recently added 12v 18AH lithium phosphate batteries to our Pride travel pro mobility scooter (S36) but we needed a charger! The first one I ordered did not work it had the XLR attachment, but it did nothing. Frustrated I went to Auto Zone and bought a advertised battery charger and maintainer it had alligator clips so I was sure that was the ticket. Nothing! So then I ordered this one fully prepared to once again return something. Well I hooked it up it is a little slippery to place the clips as they have some sort of shiny silicone something but it’s not a deal breaker . Once clipped on the light turned red , I was happy but said the proof is in the pudding so I set the clock for 2 hours as the batteries weren’t dead . 2 hours later I checked the battery was fully charged . Now I have to charge the other one. I wish this company would make one with a xlr so I could charge both batteries at once but I plan to buy a second one I. The interim. The box that came is so small like a cellphone box. It’s very light. And it works . For this I am happy

Good basic 3 amp charger
Very happy with this charger. I use it to charge my 12.8V 20AH liFePo4 battery. I have faster chargers but I have the time between uses to charge this battery with this 3 amp charger for 7 hrs which is better for long battery life.
