Our house has tile floors and my old slippers were dangerous, the sole was plastic. I needed a rubberish, type of sole. These slippers are just as dangerous on tile floors. The sole looks to be made of a grippy material, but they are not. Ordered one size larger than I usually wear in shoes. Wish I could have ordered two sizes larger, but I got the largest size. My feet get the pins and needles feeling if I keep them on for more than a minute. I'm going to keep them and see if I can get used to them. They will probably become a dog toy. UPDATE: Do yourself a favor, buy your slippers at WALMART. You'd think that Amazon could do better.Update 5/30/18 I've been wearing them every day, I'm retired. I still have to walk carefully because they don't grip our tile floors. But other than than, I like them now.
