The story is so cute plus the hardcover(i bought) is so sturdy!
The story is so cute, gives total kdrama vibe..as a kpop stan & one who sympathizes with their idol's life..it's a must read!

Comfort read.
Its actually a quite chill book.I would rate it a 3.9/4.0 out of 5 despite it being well written and laided out in a way that the readers are engaged to it and cant stop reading , it has a weak plot and is Verrrryyy predictable. As most romance stories go The mc meet each other , fall in love , obstacles start appearing, they fight it or in some cases break up but still in the end they end up together, that's the whole story to sum up in a few lines. It a good book for romance freaks like me.If u like a chill book with little to no drama it's a book for u.This was one of my starting books of my reading journey and it was quite a pleasant experience to re-read it after a year or so.

If you like K drama pick it up
If you are someone who is dreamy like me you will definitely relate to this book, Have you ever imagined in your wildest dreams, dating a K-pop star? Well, our protagonist Jenny is living that dream but things are not as easy as it sounds.Love or responsibility? This question is hard to answer since the heart wants what it wants but on the other hand there is guilt struck in from running away from responsibility. Jenny and Jaewoo, the two musicians find themselves juggling between love and responsibility. They first encounter each other in LA, had a carefree fun night but Jaewoo leaves suddenly.Three months later Jenny went to Korea and finds out he is a K-pop star with a band named XOXO because of his band responsibility he is not allowed to date. (forbidden romance trope, and I am sold)Overall This book portrays a great friendship and a strong female head with heartwarming moments making it unputdownable. if you are a k-pop fan pick this one up, I am sure it's worth it.

Overly Cliched
XOXO by Axie Oh.Thank you so much to the publisher for sending across a review copy!I went into this book with zero expectations.I have no knowledge about Korean pop culture or Korean shows,so I went into this book expecting just a normal romance novel. And,well,it was just that. This book has the “forbidden-romance” trope, because apparently Korean idols are substantially banned from dating,or at least dating publicly. The story was just pretty normal,if not overly cliched. The romance just wasn’t that good,I felt no chemistry between the characters and couldn’t empathize with their dramatic situations at all. Both the main characters and side characters are poorly written. I wasn’t invested in the story at all.A lot of things keep happening and people keep moving on to the next thing. Whenever a conflict occurs, its solved instantaneously. Also in the pre-climax everything just sort of breaks apart and the worst happens, and just 10 pages later, everything works out on its own through the magic of coincidence and everyone gets a happy ending somehow. Also I wished to learn about Korean culture and other than some over-the-top descriptions about their food, there wasn’t much else. Honestly ,the entire novel felt like a lazy fan-fic about someone’s typical daydream fantasy about having a famous pop star fall in love with them.
