Fits great, easy to install, decent value for money, mounts securely on the lens, and makes the a7iv look super stylish. It's a shame that you can't use filters while the lens hood is being used. High-quality, durable machining protects the lens while looking great.

Item came on time... Fits my Sony lens FE 50mm, F2.5 G perfect. Very nicely made, the lens hood and cap feel solid, fits snugly and super easy to put on the lens less than 20 seconds.

It’s a solid piece of metal. I let some YouTuber sell me on it because it makes it look like a Leica. I do like the metal cap that goes over the hood, probably one of the cooler camera accessories I own.

I rarely give a review, but this lens hood puts an end to the notion that things made in China are subpar. This lens hood is made of aluminum and then anodized black. The fitting is perfect for the the Sony 40mm lens with a twist and snaps into alignment, staying square on the lens. Being an older Leica M user that has a similar plasticky square hood for their 35 Summicron, this hood is even better, and yet costing 4 times less than the Leica version. At $40, it is not cheap by any means, but the quality is first rate and you don't feel being gouged by the name brand.

This works great. Looks good on my Sony camera with the 40mm lens. The only draw back is that you cannot store the hood on the camera. It has a strong a strong metal build seems to be a solid hood. I would highly recommend this product.

Not much bigger or heavier than the original Sony supplied hood but much more attractive in use . It fits and locks onto my 50 G lens perfectly . I plan to leave it on all the time so the fact that you cannot reverse the hood for storage is a non issue. As you cannot use the Sony pinch cap with this hood in place, it is good that the supplied Haoge cap is such a good fit and attractive in its own right.

Very good quality! I put it on my Sony 20mm f2.8 pancake lens with my a6700 and there isn’t any play! I was also able to put the hood on with an ND filter underneath it as well.
