A review while watching paint dry.
It is a rare occurrence for me to put finger to keyboard where it comes to reviews, possibly because it is time consuming for me, but when it comes to a product such as this where getting it wrong is both money and effort wasted.Needed to give my 1930s garage floor a splash of colour and as my garage is now a storage facility and is situated very much in my garden, I chose the shade of green on offer. We've all had paints that are a dream to use and others that haunt your dreams. This one is the former and was applied after a good long stir with ease and a result of the first coat being what you see in the photo attached. A second coat will be applied a few hours later and it will no doubt provide the perfect finish. With the paint being dispatched and received within 48 hours I can highly recommend both the seller and this particular product.

Great coverage and finish on wood
Absolutely love this garage floor paint from TA International. Needs a really good stir before first use (as per instructions) but goes on an so easily. Great colour and finish is fantastic. I used on my indoor stairs made pf wood and with the left over have started painting the picture frames on walls to match. Can't recommend highly enough will be using again for bedroom floor.

High quality paint and prompt delivery during lock down
During the covid lock down I became very aware of the mossy, dirty state of the patio. Chose Mid Grey Bs 00 a 09 and while it was darker on my skin, on the white patio it does come out a lot bluer, which is fine for our purposes, but keep the base surface in mind and its influence on the overall colour. I've included progression pictures so you can see how it changed through the stages: dirty/cleaned/paint. Also, I underestimated the amount of paint I required and the supplier delivered ahead of schedule.

POOR COVERAGE NOT EVEN CLOSE, LIGHT DUTY PAINT
Goosewing Grey FLOOR PAINT, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW THAT I AM OFFICIALLY NOT SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCTIt is clearly displayed that this product is supposed to do about 40 to 50 M2 per 5 litre tin. I bought 10 litres of TA PAINTS Product so technically enough to do about 80 to 100 M2 which would be enough to do the area I needed to paint with 2 coats un thinned however I opted to thin the first coat at 10% so this coverage would or should have been even more than this by 10%, but is was not even anywhere close to the lowest estimation by a very long way.So absolutely in my opinion coverage is an absolute lie without a doubt, I thinned the first tin of paint just around 10% for my first tin yet coverage even with this extra 10% thinners only managed 27.75 M2 so I had to open the 2nd tin which was supposed to be for the top coat to get me out of trouble.I don't like being lied to any these ta paints quotes in my case extremely over HYPED unrealistic coverage, the concrete surface i wanted to use this on was a VERY smooth concrete surface almost polished quality however i knew this would be a problem so it was acid etched twice a week before painting, if the seller TA PAINTS was honest and correct for a smooth surface which was just acid etched the coverage should have easily been at least in the range of40-50 M2 per tin and would have allowed me to easily use one tin thinned for the first coat with some 20% left over in the tin as waste and the main top coat un thinned covering the area with about at least 10% or more left over as waste, these were worst case coverage scenarios with a 10% error rate included and still coverage was terrible and way less more like 20 meters square per 5 lire tin and no before anyone says it NO i didn't blather it on,When I ordered I foolishly FULLY trusted TA PAINTS and even made an allowance for over 10% bull hype yet was not able to complete a basic job with this paint and finish the top coat as I am almost exactly 4.5 litres short meaning the actual coverage is half of what is quoted.I am now stuck as i feel without a doubt in my mind that TA PAINTS MISLEAD ME and LIED about coverage and I am now likely forced to order another tin because the coverage is so massively off, i cant leave half my floor without the 2nd coat.It is worth noting that this paint is in no way odourless and is quite strong so that info should be known and i would not recommend using it in an unventilated area without putting extraction measures in place first, obviously it has very poor coverage unless maybe on smooth metal, it needs a tremendous amount of mixing to get all the dark streaks out, I mixed at least 5 minutes with a power mixer per tin and it was hard to get it fully mixed well even with a power mixer and industrial paddle , no way will a old broom handle going to be enough and it would be silly to take that advice as it will never mix correctly lol.My environment was approx an average temperature of 15 degrees C during the day and 12 degrees C over night primer thinned coat was put on in the morning giving the average main Drying time at 15 degrees c but was well over the stated times and I simply could not walk on the floor for 2 full days before it was finally stable to walk on, it clearly formed a dry skin but took 2 days to be able to step on it without fear of damage to the underside of the paint so it would be impossible to paint the second coat inside the claimed 12-24 hours, it would not be stable to do so maybe in 20-30 degree peak summer temperatures but not in 15 degree environment, and i kept a small heater on during that time also to ensure temperatures didn't fall anywhere near to the to the 2 pack rated temp of 10 degrees, which is irrelevant info on the amazon info page as this is not 2 pack paint, however i did not want to take any risks with low temperatures, I feel full drying will be very long indeed to gain full curing and hardness, i doubt this paint will be ready for full operation inside 10 days, even then i can tell from my experience over the years with pain this TA PAINT is going to be a very weak paint an more of a low impact domestic or cosmetic paint, this is no way suitable for some of the environments ta paints claim it is suitable for, NOT A CHANCE this is not hard wearing paint and without a doubt will chip and scrape of with only light duty knocks bumps and scrapes, DO NOT USE THIS PAINT FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN COSMETIC OR VERY LOW DUTY SURFACES. TA PAINT SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEM LISTING THIS PAINT AS SUITABLE FOR INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL USE.so now I need to consider my options as I am short 4.5 litres, either half the area will not get a second coat and visually you know it as the 2nd coat makes a huge visual impact or I will be forced to spend a further 39 pounds on something I should not have been spending my money on if the items description had been fully honest in the first place.I WISH I HAD NOT BOUGHT THIS PAINT IN THE FIRST PLACE I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW UPSET AND ANGRY I AM OVER THE WHOLE PAINT FROM QUALITY TO COVERAGE TO DUTY RATING,The only thing i like is the colour on the parts i managed to get a 2nd coat on, the colour is exactly what i was expecting and it is a awesome look, the 2nd coat is a must and you cant skip the 2nd coat and you need to do the 2nd coat as soon as you can safely walk on the surface for best bonding results UNFORTUNATELY this is my problem now thanks to TA PAINTS as because of poor coverage and me trusting the data listed on amazon my paint is going to be a long time between primer coat and the 2nd or top coat thanks to the misleading info which will now likely make the paint totally unstable between the to coats and cause a poor bond without roughing it down due to being forced in the situation of many days between coats.I should have used the regal paints brand as they are honest and accurate with quoted coverage, I am a fool trying a new unknown brand to me and trusting TA PAINT i am totally not satisfied with most aspects of this paint other than colour, which is just a visual cosmetic, important yes but no use if the paint is weak and wont last and stay looking nice for long. Or is not fit for the task and purpose.Personally i feel more lies or hype from ta paints was the information in the amazon listing page as this is not tough paint unlike what is stated in the amazon listing as it is clearly a weak paint and will not be able to hold up to tyres, forklifts, pallet trucks etc nocks and scrapes , no way is the ta paint heavy duty it is clearly a cosmetic light duty paint in my opinion compared to other brands of paints i have used, the TA paint is clearly a weaker light duty paint despite reporting the following WHICH MADE ME BUY THE PAINT AND MISLEAD ME TO BUY IT IN THE FIRST PACE and i quote....."Typical uses • concrete floors • garage floors • industrial floors • workshop floors • factory floors • showroom floors • stone • brick • breeze block • mot station garages • office floors • and many more applications"that above info is what made me want the paint, but after i was so dismayed by the paint i went back on and now i see today it then states it is not able to withstand a tyres from a parked car, SURELY a mot bay has parked cars, factories have tyres from fork trucks etc so the description is also not accurate and very misleading and clearly aimed to mislead potential buyers,if you read the entire amazon advert it is very contradictory and misleading in multiple areas, and even some info suggests it is a 2 pack system when it clearly obviously is not, so it is fair to assume much of the advert is copy and pasted from other paint info which is very misleading.BOTTOM LINE My advise is to TOTALLY avoid this product unless you want it for light duty or cosmetic reasons but you will find far better and way cheaper paint for this application so i would not even recommend it for light duty,IF YOU WANT IT FOR HEAVY DUTY OR MID DUTY OR WHERE YOU MIGHT WANT TO WORK ON YOUR CAR, ETC OR A MACHANICAL WORKSHOP THEN I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PAINT AT ALL, STAY CLEAR, IT IS NOT WORTH USING THIS PAINT FOR THIS ENVIRONMENTCOVERAGE IS A BIF PROBLEM its not worth the hassle, if I could return the paint for a FULL refund I would but thats not an option other than returning 2 empty tins which i dont think they would be too happy about.,This is poor paint i feel i was mislead into buying something not suitable and because i have started I am now forced to buy more paint without any alternative option at all as i need another 4.5 litres to finish what should have taken far less paint with paint to spare if they had no hyped up the coverage, i would have forgiving this situation if a had rough concrete but it was almost power float smooth before the acid etching. This paint might be ok for light duty applications like a laundry room domestic outhouse maybe a small yard but for light duty the price is not competitive compared to other light duty products it is priced in line with more heavy duty products but not heavy duty so why buy it.I would not buy this paint again if i knew now before i bought it so its up to you to decide, dont expect heavy duty paint, or paint to park your car on or a heavy workshop etc, it will flake and chip off i have no doubt this will be the case for me anyway, i am using this for workshop and garage and its not going to be suitable surface for sure. You can find much better paint on the market at this price rage with a far better coverage and a much harder wearing finished surface and I suggest you shop about. You will probably guess that needing to buy another tin because of the misleading coverage information means I am not even close to being happy with my purchase, and the sad fact is i am now being forced to be a repeat customer as i have no other colour matching options open to me as even british standard colour codes will never match this paint now its half finished on the second coat. Also my tins came with no legal safety coshh tickets or any application instructions etc, other than what is displayed on amazon website, which is not really very good of ta paints especially when the info on the amazon website is not fully correct in all the detail.Ps, clean your tools with white spirits asap as this paint is a nightmare to clean as it gloops up quickly, i suggest painting in areas so you can keep track of your usage and not fall in the trap i did, i was already committed to my top coat before i realised i was in trouble with coverage and this is a very bad day for me with a half finished floor.TOTAL NIGHTMARE, I DO NOT RECOMMEND TA PAINTS AND WOULD NEVER BUY PAINT FOR ANOTHER PROJECT FROM THEM AGAIN, I WILL BE STAYING WELL CLEAR.PS ON THE FLOOR WHICH IS COVERED WITH THE 2 COATS IT IS VERY SLIPPERY SO BE VERY CAREFUL IF YOU PLAN TO USE THIS PAINT IN A WET AREA ON A SMOOTH FLOOR, YOU WILL NEED SOME NON SLIP AGGREGATE ADDITIVE COMPATIBLE WITH THIS PAINT FOR THIS TYPE OF ENVIRONMENTHope this is of some help to someoneThank you

Not quick drying.
Painted a thin coat this morning at 9am. TWO garage doors wide open all day to air out. It has now been over 8 hours and it is not touch dry as the instructions say "Touch Dry within 2-3 Hours"Not very happy with that, at all.Update:I've noticed that despite my garage doors being opened the air was not circulating and there was still a strong smell of paint in the air, which could explain the incredibly lengthy dry time. There was in fact no wind the day I painted the garage. I set up a circulation fan to cycle out the air for fresh air. The floor dried in no time after that and was ready for the second coat the next day. I did the same thing after the second coat and it took 4-5 hours to touch dry. So, anyone having problems with dry times, it may be because off poor air circulation. Hope this helps.I've changed my rating to 4 star.

Tough attractive paint
The space I needed to pain was in use so I couldn't paint the whole floor in one go. This proved to be no problem as the mixed paint was consistent as long as I mixed before I started each time. I was able to paint a section, then recoat it the next day and apply the first coat to the next section. The week curing time is more to do with the vapours than the paint remaining tacky, two or three days and I was able to walk on it without damage to the floor or my footwear. The finish is great, and easy to clean. No more concrete dust and in one area which used to be a coal store, no matter how much it was cleaned, it still had coal dust; it is now stabilised with the paint and produces no more dust.I chose Goosewing Grey, and I was pleased with the colour as it was richer than a simple grey with a blue tint. It looks great and covered the area stated on the tin.I would say I would use it again, but I imagine the finish will last as it seems tough and ready to withstand the foot traffic to which I will subject it.
