Will it work to insulate a garage if you buy enough rolls?

Yes, you are absolutely right. Or you can use radiant barrier. I have used radiant barrier and what a difference. The inside of the garage now you can touch it in the heat of the Texas heat and not burn your hand. Also the garage is so much cooler.
