Tested water straight from the well and it was 125, the day after running the water softener and testing from the tap the reading was zero, so I believe this to be accurate as it was similar to the professionals test kit. This may be a few dollars more expensive then other kits but so worth it, great info included, hardness charts and recommended levels, very sturdy test strip holder with an air tight cap (keep the desiccant pouch in the container) 5 stars all the way
