Works great (but the little spoon handle was broken)
This worked well. I actually used it to grate a black truffle (after seeing a French chef do that with a pricier version of one of these), and it worked really well. As you can see though, the little spoon handle broke. It wasn't worth the return due to the spoon, but I do wish I had it. Also, I needed it right away and didn't want to wait to receive it a new one. I am going to try it with ginger too and will update this review when I do. If the spoon handle were not broken, I would give it a 5. The packaging (just a little bit of bubble wrap), was not too great so I am not surprised that the spoon broke.

Great Design and Size!
Love this big sized grater which is not readily available in other big brands or retailers. Slightly heavy because of its ceramic material and size. Very sturdy and functional. Comes with spouts at both sides for ease of pouring any liquid after grating. Also comes with a little brush and ceramic spoon for scooping off the grated matter. This is more than a regular ginger grater - you can grate daikon, apple, garlic, etc. Glad to find this little kitchen tool - definitely a great (grate) helper!

Squeezing just got a lot easier
I like limes and lime juice. I use them with considerable frequency. My past arrangement was cutting the lime into four pieces and squeezing with my fingers. That took a lot of finger work to get the lime juice into what I was cooking. Then I found this device. I was not sure it would work, but it was cheap enough to give it a try. It works. I still cut the lime into four pieces and rub it against the bumps at the center of the device. It does a good job of juicing and then the juice can be easily poured where I want it. It is real progress, and at a very modest cost.
