I have a genie screw drive garage opener that was making lot of noise. I have tried different lubes and even got a professional garage tune up done. They couldn’t get the noise down. Nothing was working. I came across this and Was v skeptical but fig what the harm in it. am so happy I decided to try it. Garage opener is much quieter now. I would recommend this product if u have a genie screw drive garage opener. 👍🏽

Amazing! What a difference! I'm not sure why people are saying the tube is too small - I've applied to the whole screw and there's still product left.

Works well. Quiets chain

This product is recommended by the manufacturer of Genie garage door openers for their worm drive garage door openers. It is white lithium grease. Any white lithium grease will work just fine. The advantage of this product is the tube it comes in provides a measured application for one door opener. The tube makes it easy to apply the grease to the worm-screw. Because of the convenience I purchased and recommend this product. If you happen to have a can of white lithium grease around your house, you can grab a popsicle stick and use that to apply it to the worm-screw and save yourself a little money.

I bought this three pack of lubricant for my Genie IS550/A garage door opener. At first I followed directions and applied short strips at intervals along the approximately 8.5’ screw drive. Ultimately, I found there was enough in a single tube to apply an approximately 1/16”wide line of lube along the entire drive. The mechanism is noticeably quieter; very satisfied!

Just light, white, lithium grease. one TUBE WILL DO ONE SCREW TRACK IF YOU A CAREFUL. I made a mistake in that I used a spreay grease cleaner to clean the trolly and screw shaft. Unfortunately the screw held onto much of the cleaner, so the new grease was diluted badly and just dripped out when testing.

Just what I wanted.

This lube kit is not enough to replace all of the lube in your worm drive. It is only enough to add some lube to reduce noise and improve function. If you are like me and have a 15 year old garage door opener you will want to clean out as much old dry grease that probably had debris in it and replace it. For that I used General Purpose Grease that you can get at a big box or automotive store. If i was to only use this grease it probably would have taken 20 kits vs $5 tube of grease. It was money wasted in my opinion but might be exactly what someone else needs just to add a tiny bit of grease to a clean worm drive track.
