ABSOLUTELY AMAZING ! ONLY ZAHLERS
I cannot say enough amazing things about Zahler’s prenatal vitamins 🤍 As a mama, finding something you can truly trust is everything and these have exceeded all my expectations. They’re incredibly reliable, made with high-quality ingredients, and give me real peace of mind knowing I’m supporting both my health and my baby’s development. One of my favorite things is that they’re kosher, which is so important to me, and it’s not always easy to find prenatals that meet that standard and perform this well. They’re gentle on my stomach, easy to take, and I’ve felt a noticeable difference in my overall energy and well-being. Your hair will grow so healthy and long!! I’ve been taking them since before pregnancy and I can proudly say my hair has grown more than 6 inches in 9 months and became the most healthiest and strongest I’ve ever had my hair in years!!!!!!! Absolutely amazing product If you’re pregnant or planning, I 1000% recommend Zahler’s prenatals. Truly a must-have for any mama who wants the best 🤍

Great formulation, slightly fishy smell
I spent a LONG time researching vitamins for the best formulation for the health of my and baby for pregnancy and breastfeeding. I even made a spreadsheet and ranked them all best to worst. This prenatal came out the best of all the18 vitamins brands that did not require 8 pills a day. It includes all your major vitamins, plus some a lot of vitamins don’t include like DHA, Choline, and biotin. I do take an extra choline supplement on days I don’t eat any eggs, but 55mg can be a nice bump up to where you need to be. You do see magnesium, zinc, copper, selenium, manganese, chromium, and molybdenum in some prenatals, but not all, so I love that this formula has all of the above. The vitamin A is 1/2 Retinyl Palmitate and 1/2 beta carotene - most formulas are all beta carotene which your body has to convert to retinyl palmitate, so this is the more easily digestible version. You don’t want 100% retinyl because vitamin A can be pretty easy to get from your diet and can be easy to intake to much. All of the other vitamins are also in the easily digestible forms- folate, the B vitamins, and iron. I love this vitamin has both vitamin K1 and K2 which can be hard to find, both are important for baby and mom. And the high vitamin D makes this formula even better! Most woman in the US are vitamin D deficient. I have definitely noticed an increase in energy since switching to this prenatal which is saying a lot because at 8 months pregnant, I pretty much have no energy lol. I love this vitamin has DHA as well which is soooo important for baby’s brain development, however I wish it did include EPA as well and it does have a slightly off putting taste and smell a lot of DHA supplements have. I wish it had a better coating and I probably would not have been able to stomach this at the height of my morning sickness. But taken with a glass of juice or tea you can barely tell. That is my only negative about this vitamin, all in all a great formulation, especially with only 2 pills. A lot of comparable vitamins had 4 or even 8 pills! I wish they had the option for a bottle instead of pill packs as well as they can be noisy and sometimes I take them at night before bed which bothers my husband. Positives definitely outweigh the negatives, worth the money for sure!

A Must-Have Prenatal for Expecting Moms!
I took the Zahler Prenatal Vitamin with DHA and Folate throughout my pregnancy, and I was very happy with the results. Pros: • Comprehensive Nutrient Profile: This vitamin includes all the essential nutrients needed to support both mom and baby, including 300mg of DHA and methylated folate, which is more bioavailable than folic acid. • Gentle on the Stomach: I experienced no nausea or stomach discomfort, which is a common issue with other prenatal vitamins. • Easy to Swallow: The softgel capsules are a manageable size and go down smoothly. • High-Quality Ingredients: I appreciate that it’s made with high-quality, non-GMO ingredients and is certified kosher. Cons: • Packaging: It’s packaged in a foil pop-out wrapper inside a box rather than a tradition bottle. This isn’t an issue. I just don’t prefer it. Overall, I highly recommend the Zahler Prenatal Vitamin with DHA and Folate to any expecting mother looking for a reliable and gentle prenatal supplement.

Prenatal - no nausea
I’ve used these leading up to my pregnancy, during pregnancy, and now while breastfeeding. The softgels are easy to take and **big win** they don’t make me nauseous, even on an empty stomach. That alone makes them stand out compared to a lot of other prenatal vitamins I’ve tried. I also appreciate that they use folate instead of synthetic folic acid, and that the formula includes DHA and iron so I don’t have to juggle multiple supplements. Everything’s in one pill (or two for a daily dose), which keeps things simple. The vitamins seem high quality, with no weird aftertaste or fishy smell (just don't break the outer shell). The size of the softgel is manageable, and I’ve had zero issues with digestion. I’ve noticed my energy levels have been steady and my postpartum hair loss was relatively minimal. Not sure if that's related to the vitamins, but I’ll take it. If you’re looking for a well-rounded prenatal that’s gentle on your stomach and covers all the essentials, these are a solid choice. I’ll keep using them as long as I’m nursing, TTC, or pregnant.

Great ingredients, improved pill quality, inconsistent shipping
Update Sept. 2020: -the formula changed and is no longer vegan (contains beeswax). I’m not vegan, so I didn’t mind this switch. Not sure if this was the cause, but the quality of the pills is MUCH higher. I used to receive several leaking pills per box and this box was 100% fine. Also MUCH less smelly. Huge improvement! The only con is that I’ve had a few boxes ship late despite being subscribed. Seems they may have some production consistency issues, but I’d much rather take the good ingredients and quality over something cheaper. ————— I’ve taken these for over a year now and they’re my favorite in terms of ingredients and pill size. Tons of nutrients, great quality and quantity folate, and DHA all in two pills per day. I take them at bedtime and have never experienced any nausea. Cons: -they’re smelly. Most good prenatals I’ve tried have been. I used to take Rainbow Lite prenatal minis, which smelled much better, but they don’t contain DHA and you need to take three per day. I’ll put up with the smell if it means only taking two pills total. -packaging: over the past year packaging quality seems to have decreased. Several pills per box arrive leaking a little fluid, making the package smell even worse and taking those specific pills messy. Once you touch any leaking liquid, that smell is on your hands for good. For the high price compared to many other prenatals, I’d expect a leak-free delivery. They’re too expensive to just toss leaking pills.

A great prenatal vitamin - Highly Recommend
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I heard about this prenatal vitamin from the Pregnancy Podcast. At the time, I was struggling to find a prenatal vitamin that I liked. I had tried Ritual first, but due to the excessive amount of biotin in them, they made me breakout. I then switched to the gummy vitamins by Olly, but grew to really dislike the other texture/taste of them. I also didn't like that they didn't contain iron. Zahler was a great option for me because it didn't make me break out, it does have iron, and it was easy to take (big pillows but smoothe and easy to swallow). I also like that it contains folate, instead of the synthetic folic acid. It's also worth noting that I had a very healthy pregnancy, bloodwork was always good, and I experienced no adverse side effects from taking these. I HIGHLY recommend these prenatals.

Good quality, and no longer fishy.
This is my first pregnancy, so I am still learning. I recently decided to switch from Nature Made Prenatal with DHA to Zahler Prenatal +DHA a few weeks ago after a blood test revealed mild anemia during my second trimester. I learned about Zahler from the Pregnancy Podcast and heard that the type of iron used is more bioavailable and easier on the tummy. Also, I thought Nature Made had folic acid vs. folate, but that turned out to not be the case (oops)— another reason to switch to Zahler. I’ve only been taking them for a couple of weeks and while my energy is back, it’s hard to say if it’s from the switch or from the iron supplements that my midwife also recommended I take. My biggest complaint about the switch is the fishy taste and smell of the pills, but I’ve learned to avoid it by putting juice in my mouth before the pill rather than pill first then water. Also, I kind of wish they were in a bottle rather than a pill pack to reduce waste, but maybe due to the 30 or 60 day amount it’s more eco-friendly to use the pill packs. It does keep them fresh, I suppose. Although, I put my vitamins in a day-of-the-week pill container to avoid overdosing and have to cut up the pill packs so that they’ll fit. Sure, I could pop the pills out, but I’d rather keep that fishy smell/taste separated from my other supplements. Oh, and some of the capsules were broken upon arrival, which is a bit of a bummer because of the cost. The pill packs kept the liquid from getting all over the other pills, so a plus for pill packs. Otherwise, I haven’t experienced any weird side effects and I’m glad the formula that included sorbitol from previous amazon reviews has been removed. I appreciate the higher quality of vitamin and mineral sources as well as the vegetarian-friendly effort. All in all, I intend to continue using through my third trimester and so on, and will likely use again if we have a second child. UPDATE: This is my third (or fourth— pregnancy brain ugh) box and there are at least five broken capsules. My previous boxes also had several broken capsules. I was hoping to continue taking these while breast feeding, etc, but the gross taste combined with the wasted capsules is making me rethink continuing to buy this brand unless the company changes the outside coating to something stronger. Very disappointing because I enjoy the quality ingredients. SECOND UPDATE 5/4/2020 They went back to their previous formula a few months ago, so I went from three stars to five because: The pills no longer leak. They no longer taste super fishy. The company listened to their customers issues and fixed the problem. I’d feel good about recommending these to others.

Toxic
Do not buy these. They have retinol palmitate in them which can cause birth detects. No option to get a refund so $50 goes in the garage.
