Lovely, Lusciously Soft, would be great for my husband's cold toes while he was working on the laptop. Just one teeny, tiny, fuzzy, orange and white problem. My Brittany took one look at this, sprang onto the bed, stretched- out luxuriously, and has not moved so much as an eyelash in hours. I am scrunched on one side of the bed, my husband on the other, while Dogbert blissfully luxuriates among the silky, smooth, ripples,of fake mink.What do we do now? I mean we are official first indoctrinates among the Canine Lovers Union of The World. Would it not be intolerably barbaric were I to force our noble canine move at this point? After all, he has had a rough, exhausting, and very active day, protecting our family from what appears to be New England's squirrel population, in its entirety. attempting to rush, then victoriously occupy our premises ( Following those precepts first established by the Emperor Napoleon himself!). I do not want to leave my lovely old place for a stint rusticating away on Elba.Well, don't know what you would do, but I have to respect the kind of dedication and devotion exhibited by our furry defender.. Hubby is making do with a (clean) dog blanket, the canine is yet in motionless repose upon the gorgeous fake mink, and my busy little fingers have just ordered another mink spread for my poor, shivering, beloved, partner ( The human one, not the dog.)These blankets are simply glorious. They are as soft as the real thing, lined in what appears to be a replication of the silks lining the gorgeous coats, and they are absolutely gorgeous. Light, airy, yet bearing an exceedingly close resemblance to a caramel mink, we love the tiny portion that our generous canine has allowed us to inhabit. The backing on the Caramel color is an excellent match, adding yet more to the feel of extreme, and downright luxurious rich folks, reclining upon one of the worlds more splendiferous offerings.This is strong and well-made, the back lining, and the seams are extremely well sewn, the markings upon the "fur" are excellent replications of the real thing. It is light, airy, and yet provides just that bit of snuggly warmth needed while reading, watching the tube, or (even!) performing official work on the laptop. I am amazed that it does not appear to retain any of the orange and red dog hair which have been rigorously applied to the outer section. Hair just seems to roll-off. This caramel color is excellent for disguising stains, and I doubt that frequent washing will be required. The washing instructions that I intend to follow will involve WOOLITE, a cold water wash, light spin, and not one hair of this beauty shall ever be exposed to the cruelties which a dryer can inflict upon such luxury.I have ordered one in the dark mink color for another bedroom, and three more for this bed, and a beautifully stolid old arm-chair. I will keep mine and that of my spouse secreted under our pillows,except when in actual use, and the other will be (I hope?) elegantly positioned across the big bed. Although, I am sure that the position will end-up following the personal taste of our exquisitely-bred Brittany. Let us hope that his taste coincides with ours. We stand absolutely no chance of winning a face-off with a determined Britt.!I now own many of these in different sizes and colors. Each size has proven quite generous, the elegant patterning is exquisitely displayed across the blanket, and I can tell that this quality will last through more than a few doggy dreams. I am thrilled with my well-made find, the canine feels that at last I am honoring him at the level which is his customary wont, and his well-earned due. Only my poor spouse is suffering from a strong feeling of under-appreciation, and general neglect.However, the other throws will arrive soon, and partner will finally stop staring at his hound with a pathetically hurt, and under-appreciated sigh of woe. All will be right with the world, and the many bedrooms in my old, cold, New England residence will begin to glow yet again with warmth, happiness, and the unmitigated warm aura of cozy warmth.What on earth took me this long to find these lovely throws, buy them, and use them? I can only blame a bad case of the rather well-known affliction of New England Frugality. What ever the case, we now happily recline in the very lap of warm and cozy luxury. I need to go now. Time is a wastin', winter is a comin', I and need to immediately obtain more of these treasured throws. Just the thing for the rest of my big, old, drafty, high-ceilinged, and pathetically under heated ( But yet quite quaint, and very Currier and Ives 200 year old abode. Besides, the original, yet rather frigid, old radiators are delicately embossed with the most lovely designs. Could you eliminate that sweet charm for a need so prosaic as heat?These throws are the best, and are a great look for an old, antiquated, and rather chilly home of any kind! Yes, I can hear it already, most of you probably have warm and adequately- heated abodes. Must be nice, but not a really heavily-represented aspect of many of New England's oh- so- atmospheric "listed"homes. I stand- by my decision for quaint frigidity, over hideously nouveau warmth, my "Musket Loader" at the ready.Buy the throws, they will both allow you to maintain your much vaunted high principles, and yet warm some of that treasured "blue blood" at the same time.

I was so pleasantly surprised at the quality of this blanket, that I'm going to go buy another one. I washed it on cold, tumble dried it on low, and it turned out good as new. What a great deal on a cozy blanket!! Go forth and buy this one. You won't be disappointed.

This blanket is nice and soft if you are looking for a very light blanket I actually needed one that was better suited for winter.

I had bought this same item in 2017. That blanket was much thicker . The new version is very thin and if a much lower quality . Don’t waste your money !

So far so good..In 2010 I bought a blanket early identical from Target for myself and Mom for xmas. It was both of our very most favorite blanket. My ex boyfriend wouldn't return mine when I moved out and she has always wanted to get another one. I have looked far and wide checked everywhere and Target for so long and nothing I never saw another one like it.. until now. I ordered just the one to make sure it more than just looked like the "one" and that it actualy was or is the same blanket..Got it it came in the same plastic zipper protective packaging as the other ones I bought I'd have to say this is the "one". This blanket os so great that my mom and myself my son and my brother all long ago got excited over a blanket- (passionate just didnt seem ime the appropriate choice of words .. passionately excited how bout that? People its a blanket. Who cares right.. ? Thats what I thought until I had this blanket. Anyway after years of searching searching this one it came and its the one! I am going to be buying several more now that i have confirmed that this is it! I kind of dont want to write this review because I dont want to see prices increase, before I order more. Highly recommend. At least book mark this item or out it on a list come back to it later.. if you ever decide to ho ahead and get it you will realize that the price is a steal!Angela

I am SO HAPPY with this blanket! I bought it to use in place of our comforter during the summer, so I was hoping it wasn't too thick. I was so happy to find that it is NOT very thick at all, no thicker than a standard throw blanket. It's so luxuriously soft and doesn't keep us too warm at night. I'm going to see if I can find matching pillow cases, too!I haven't washed it yet, so hopefully it holds up well. I did see some loose fur when I unpacked the blanket, so I threw it in the dryer with a dryer sheet for a few minutes. No more fur came off of the blanket, and what was loose just stayed in the lint trap. Seems easy enough to care for!Added bonus: We have three cats and they all want to sleep with us at night, so the bed is usually just covered in cat hair. Since I've had this blanket on the bed, the fur on the blanket has completely camouflaged the cat hair! My bed actually looks cleaner with this blanket on it! hahaha SCORE. Plus this is much easier to wash than our king-sized comforter would be, so I will just use it over the comforter when the weather gets colder. VERY happy with this purchase, and my husband loves it, too!
