I was sent a used knife. I am able to tell this by the packaging of the knife how they resealed the plastic at the bottom. Also, the edge of the knife blade is not uniform. It is not the original knife edge from the factory, it has been resharpened, so on close inspection the blade edge has definite irregularities to the cutting edge. I am very disappointed.

I own 2 knives, this one and the 8" chef knife same company. The knives stay sharp, easy to sharpen when dull, safe, fat handle, nice rubbery grip. Does what a knife is supposed to, cut effortlessly. I cook a lot-chopping all veggies by hand....great knives,
