I was missing a timer in my Pictionary game. This was a fix. Large/ worked well.

Pretty and accurate.

I did not time the grains so I don't know how "accurate" they are, but it's for games, so whatever the time is it will be the same for everyone. Sturdy construction.

Off by 8 seconds. Smaller than anticipated. It's about the height of a can of coke. It requires shaking and tapping to insure the sand flows evenly.Aside:Humans lived without clocks for hundreds of thousands of years. We timed by recitation or by song; by step, rhythm or landmark. I purchased this for an elderly friend: her dentist prescribed a special toothpaste that requires a solid two minute brushing. This egg timer is perfect - it has a SOLID base - won't tip over easily. Most egg timers are much smaller: this one seems rugged!

Purchased this timer to remind me to put my Invisalign trays back on, after meals. Liked the size and availability of 30-min increment, and liked one less buzzer/ping/chime. This looked big enough to see from across the room. Arrived in great condition. It took 5+ mins of coaxing to get the sand flow started, and I assumed it had ‘packed’ during shipping. Not once all day did it ever flow when inverted to begin timing. It required much attention (tapping or setting down with impact over and over) to get the sand started and to finally flow til empty. I wanted it to work. It’s old-school. After 10 uses I got frustrated and returned.
