Excellent coping saw
I used this coping saw to cut an accurate rectangle hole into my desk to install the recessed power strip. I've never used a coping saw before, but this one had a bunch of good reviews and it came with different blade sizes. After self educating with a couple coping saw YouTube videos, I cut out this hole and installed the power strip. Cutting was easy and I learned a new skill. Looking forward to cutting more unique holes in things eth this unit when the time comes!

Give it a chance
If I'd of given this review on the 1st day or two of having it I'd of gave it one star, it takes some using it to get used to it. After a few days I started figuring it out and it's much easier to use than a traditional Coping saw, I think. As mentioned, it does take some getting used to and I am struggling to get a perfectly clean cut. I am however getting closer to that goal also the more I use it.

Study tool!
The spiral blade are great, because they go in any direction... but be careful! They go on any direction. Very sturdy. I would buy again if I lost mine.

Hard to cut a straight line
If you need it to cut in hard to get areas im sure this is perfect but it's not why i bought it, i can't get it to cut a straight line due to the design of the blade, it always wants to pull to the left on a down cut. Manufacturer might make a blade to remedy this problem like a double helix blade? But i didn't look.. returned

Nice coping saw
For what it is worth it is a nice little saw. But coping saws are not that easy for beginners to use because they tend to wobble a bit. And the blades are usually pretty thin. If you are just starting out with coping saws though and still want to try them out, this is not such a bad buy. I would only use it on soft wood though with this model because of the thin blade. Use coping saws that can handle thicker blades if you want to try them out on harder wood than basswood.
