The Peculiar Triumph Of Professor Branestawm

HAPPY MEMORIES.....
I loved this book when I was a child and I remember that I had never laughed until I cried and my sides hurt. It's been out of print for years, so I was delighted to find a solitary copy on Amazon. It came as the seller promised, in fact, early. I opened it with some trepidation, you know things are never as good as you remember?Wrong. I was once again back in that happy place, laughing and hardly able to read by the bottom of the first page. If you can get yourself into the mad world of Professor Branestawn, do yourself a favour and dive straight in. I promise you, you won't regret it.

Great book for kids!
I loved this book as a child, and bought it for my son aged 9 (who is a fairly advanced reader). As we read it together, we were both in stitches, laughing so much that tears ran down both our faces! The word play and absurdity is so funny but it is also cleverly written and illustrates what you can do with your imagination. The nice part is that although Professor Branestawm's inventions always go wrong, he is forgetful and makes loads of mistakes, everything turns out well in the end and he is forgiven. The book even inspired my little inventor to start some inventions of his own spontaneously. Would probably appeal to 10-12 year olds the most.

Norman Hunter is a Classic!
Received this book at noon today-Oct 2nd 2018. Excellent condition, and it is a real pleasure to have this book. I remember reading it when it first came out, and at 57, I have to admit I still enjoy the tales of Professor Branstawm, along with Mrs. Flittersnoop and Colonel Dedshott. I have "The Incredible Adventures of Professor Branstawm" Professor Branstawms Treasure Hunt" and "Professor Branestawm up the Pole", so I was very pleased to finally obtain this for my reading collection!

Classic British tale
This was one of my favourite series as a kid and although it's a little dated now still fun for this generation to read

Excellent book!
My 9 year old son loves this book. It's funny and amusing. He wants Dr Branestawn's outfit (with five different goggles) for a World Book Day.
