Nothing but a Pack of Cards: A Book of Cartomancy and Tarot Sorcery

S Rune Emerson delivers what many try to accomplish in occult teachings.....
Once upon a time there was a child who desired nothing more than to unearth an “ancient grimoire” that was alive and filled with the kind of magic that embodies that aura of mystery and inspiration that touches the depths of the soul. So many yearn to experience this type of magic alias, few will ever obtain it and even fewer still will ever come to understand it.To find a book like the one described above seems impossible and like some made up fairytale. Another impossible thing (that has been going on way to long) is to write books on magic and the occult that are not another 101 intro book with the same uninspired regurgitations of less than thought out notions about what magic and the likes is about. It’s time to move not on but “in” to the depths of understanding and symbolisms that reveal the essence of the occult. “For those with eyes to see and ears to hear…”Thankfully S. Rune Emerson has done something very few people are able to do (in my opinion) when it comes to “binding” the teachings of the occult to the written word. The “essence” of those “ancient grimoires” can no doubt in my mind be found in: Nothing but A Pack of Cards “A Book of Cartomancy and Tarot Sorcery”S. Rune Emerson has brought into physical manifestation a guide to his personal practices that carry the precise components needed to: inspire, mystify and guide the reader as if he is right by their side. The structure of the teachings gives the reader a foundation to learn this system of Sorcery and Cartomancy that is engaging and left me wanting to know what was next. The incantations and spoken parts of the rituals and workings create that atmosphere and feeling within (at least it did for me) of tapping into something deeply magical and mysterious (as a Witch should be).S. Rune Emerson has gone above and beyond the call of the universe to create something that will speak to the depths of those souls who know this type of magic is out there. I have little doubt that in the hands of the passionate and open minded (whom can detach their expectations about their made up ideals about what “things should be”) the journey in these pages have the potential to unlock and awaken deep magic. Some words of caution/wisdom are needed in summary:“For those of us who know one, can only reap that which they have sown. For nothing in the universe is free thus, be mindful or in debt you’ll be.”S. Rune has clearly done the work and put in a lot of practice thus, being able to produce the quality he has with this book. Despite how magical this book is and the depth it has to offer.... if the reader doesn’t put in the work and practice (no matter the subject but especially in the occult) be certain not much will happen. No one can do the work for you. That’s the thing with magic and the occult the only person you can blame for your magic not working or all the other nonsense I hear you can only blame yourself and your lack of passion, integrity and devotion.

The Real Book Is Worth Owning!
I have to admit that after seeing that I could get it for free on my kindle, I had thoughts about cancelling my order for this book. I AM SO GLAD THE CANCELLATION DID NOT GO THRU!!! The book itself is marvelous - the outside cover has a kind of suede feel to it, and looks like an old leather cover... The insides are beautiful - there are illustrations of the cards and the layouts, and a cool scrolly font for the headlines that makes this feel like an old grimoire... I know I will develop a deeper layer of understanding of the major arcana from this book, which has already ensured itself a valued position in my library.

Graphics are low quality and the fonts inside can be difficult to read.
Fits into a very specific practice of magic that only the author practices.
