Great device
The media could not be loaded. This is a perfect converter… My Samsung Tv is a smart tv and it seems as if all the newer tv don’t have the aux jack on them… and if you don’t have a cable box you can’t hook up the aux… Im so happy that I found this device because I have an old school radio equipment and I didn’t want to buy a sound bar… and boy I’m glad I didn’t have to… this converter is so easy to assemble.. I hooked it right up and now I have sound coming through my speakers again….you don’t have to switch your system…

Works well once it’s configured correctly
Got this to connect my 2018 Samsung tv to a Yamaha analog receiver. Didn’t seem to work at first; I just got a static clicking sound; the instructions in the box were next to useless. But in some of the info on the product page here I saw mention of setting the tv sound output format to PCM. I did this in the settings/sound/expert settings menu on my tv - had to do that in two different places - and now it works well. Unfortunately I can’t control volume fm the tv remote, I need to use the stereo remote for that. But otherwise, no complaints at all - it’s a very good value for the price.

Digital to Analog Signal for Headphones
TV manufacturers are not putting analog audio output plugs on TVs now. I have a headphone I use when quiet time comes to our house, and without this digital to analog converter I wouldn't be able to use headphones. The only problem I ran into connecting everything was getting the Toslink fiber optic cable in correctly. It will go in 2 different ways, and I've never heard of a connector that allowed you to do that. Once I figured out I had it in 180 degrees out of correct, and inserted it correctly it all worked perfectly. I am now a happy user!

Works great
This little thing was way better than I expected it to be. It’s also way heavier than I expected. I was expecting a plastic piece but this is metal. It works great for me. My only complaint is that the description says it comes with the power cable and the optical cable. I got the optical cable but not the one for power. Lucky for me, I had a spare but it was a little annoying.Beyond that, it does what I wanted it to and sounds good in my speaker.

It’s works
I was able to save my Bose Cinemates speakers with new TV….. I have life again and sound quality is on point… just remember to remove plastic cap off the end of optical cord….It works
