Standard Motor Products US331 Ignition Switch

I did the install for a client and didn't do the troubleshooting to illuminate something like a bad starter, but so far the client reports that it's stopped the intermittent no crank issue on a GMT800 Avalanche. I usually prefer the genuine GM part, but in this case, it's a known problematic part, so who knows? So far so good.

Only fixed half the problemCar was difficult to start with this new switch but it would no longer shut off while driving.Lucky it was on sale when I got it cause I missed the return window so it will just get tossed into the trash

My 2005 Tahoe was having multiple electrical issues, including crank-no start, no crank-no start, sticky key, flickering dash etc. I narrowed the issues down to the ignition switch, and now everything works as good as new.Note: Be sure to clean all the ground connectors you can find, before replacing switches and other relays; especially on older cars and truck. Corrosion on grounds and inside connectors can cause similar issues.

I thought my A/C controller was out and waisted money on the blower circuit board first. This ignition switch is common to go out in GMC Envoys and Chevy Trailblazers. Not to difficult to install. Watch the you tube instructions and be carefull of the placement of the coggs. It took me a few guesses to get it right, but works like new! Dealer charges and arm and a leg to install these. It's a DIY project.

Fit and works just like the original.

Fit was good and quality was about the same as oem.

Hard install and didn't last long. Went back to oem part

Never worked properly from first install. Wouldn't crank engine, just clicked. Installed similar Dorman part and worked correctly immediately.
