So. The quality of the head is superb, great style, love that the designs are actually embossed into the metal rather than just painted on, the wood seems to be ash from what I know, and the grips smell like real leather, the reason I rated the craftsmanship low. The handle is VERY girthy, I have pretty large ha ds as is and have a bit of difficulty gripping single handed, the studs holding the leather in place on the grip are cheaply made, the sheath mount for use with belts is all wrong, wearing it as it's designed causes the axe to sag very badly and makes it quite difficult to quickly deploy the axe, and near impossible one handed. Otherwise I can't complain quality wise. Good leather, solid stitching. Shipping was a nightmare, but that's not on the seller, and I'm sure it was a flyke with all things Co sodered the seller did an amazing job communicating with me and keeping in contact with the shipping company.

The hatchet was everything it said it would be and more with it's classic beauty & A+ craftsmanship. And the customer service was just as fantastic! I would recommend this product & seller to anyone. Definitely 5 stars for both hatchet & seller!

The hatchet seems sturdy enough but is not Sharp and the handle is slick and quite large. The head is a good weight and is well crafted. I might add that I am not too fond of the leather handle grip, looks much better in the picture but is rather tacky and don't serve too well for handling. Looks like it should be hung on the wall rather than used as an everyday tool.

Very beautifully made, a little on the heavy side though. Definitely don’t try to use this axe outside, you might hurt yourself— definitely just made for looks.

It`s very cool for display and it can be used because it is sharp.I wouldn't use it because it is so nice and I would't want to damage it.

So many cons…. Dull, I have sharper butter knives. Rusted, pitted rust spots all over the head. Out of proportion, the handle is like grabbing the large end of a baseball bat, not even close to useable. Engravings, not engraved, more like stamped and just barely so. Pro…(the only one) after a little oil on the poorly crafted head, it’s still an ok looking show piece for the wall. That’s really it…will never buy anything from this company again. You should see the price for returning it…. Ridiculous!!!!
