My grandson is not quite four years old and is getting very interested in superheroes. He asked for Captain America because he is so good and strong. I purchased this Golden Book as it is a great introductory book to learning about the character. The book tells the story of how Captain America got his powers and what he does to help save people. My grandson is thrilled with this book and asks for it over and over again. I also purchased the Titan 12 inch action figure for him and he has a lot of fun pretending to be Captain America and getting super strong by eating his food, especially his vegetables (our version of the rays!) The story is well illustrated and is written so that a young child can cope with the time it takes to have it read to them. When he is older, a story book with more action will be appropriate but for now, this works well for our needs.

Think this is a perfect intro to Captain America for my 4 year old son. No, it's not a story with plot lines, twists, character development and award winning writing as some have complained about in their reviews. Its a Little Golden Book with nice full page color graphics, easy words and its only 23 quick read pages which make it perfect for before bedtime.

Cute story, easy to read for the younger set, easy to read to the youngest set! I bought this to go with the 12" Titan Captain America figure, for my 3 year old. He's sandwiched between two girls, so he was in need of some super-hero books and toys to get away from all the princess stuff. He LOVES this book and the others in the series. Marvel was SMART to partner with Little Golden Book on this one.

These books are great and my son loves them. I will say some of the pages should have used a white text color as the background is dark so can be a tad difficult to read if doing so by lamp light (aka bedtime)

My toddler loved it, he will be taking this book to school on "Book Character" dress up day. To share why he loves captain america,. The book reminds me of my school days those little golden book are cute and great picture quality.

Good book, short but good

Not only are the stories from this brand enjoyable but the price is fantastic! Most of the books average around £2.50 which I think is amazing! The illustrations are also really good! We’re fans. I’ve ordered about 7 from this book brand for my children and will be purchasing more!
