Amazing coffee!
Love the strong flavour. Better than a pret in store in my opinion. Itβs really good coffee that satisfies your need for another cup.

Fairly oily beans that need grinding very fine in a Sage machine
The wife was missing her Pret coffee in this work from home a lot world so we gave these a go.The beans are fairly oily and had 6 months before the best before end date. The last 5kg of beans we've used in the Sage Barista Touch machine have been Italian Kimbo and Lavazza beans and they used a fairly similar grind setting (internal burr 2, external 11) - for these Pret beans it was way off and these need grinding much finer (internal burr 2, external 2), sometimes the sign of a stale bean as for fresh beans it's way up the other end of the grind settings.Using the previous settings of 11 gave a very bitter shot that was producing 40g of coffee in 15 seconds which tasted awful.I used probably a 3rd of a bag dialling it in, and that was internal burr 2 and external burr 2, 16 seconds to grind 18g and then 27 seconds to produce 38g of coffee. This is a fairly mild coffee which doesn't have any intense taste or much mouth feel due to lack of crema (no robustas in this) but saying that it's a very non offensive Americano. It's not the strongest caffeine wise so if you're after that you may want to look elsewhere for a stronger blend.Storage wise there are a few comments about the beans going stale quickly, we used an Airscape container which is excellent for bean storage and helps keep the beans fresher for longer. As these beans are quite oily I've noticed the grinder appears to be blocking as it's only feeding from one side so once this bag has gone I'll have to do a full teardown to clear the blockage.

Contents: coffee
My favourite coffee, beaned. If you're not a fan of fruity coffee go for this. It's chocolatey and earthy and just so goddarn good. One thing I've noticed is that it doesn't break the motor on cheaper coffee grinders like some other beans do if you grind a lot of coffee at once.

Not to my taste
Freshness rezolvare of a coffee smell smell absolutely delicious but the taste was completely different to what I was going to expect I've been making coffee now for about 4 years really not impressed but everybody has different taste buds

Losing freshness due to packaging ?
I tried these as they seemed good value than my normal coffee beans from Starbucks, and I do enjoy my americanos from Pret a Manger.I was bit disappointed to find that the coffee beans came in a cheap plastic bag. Many coffee beans in supermarkets and coffee shops package them in special bags that let out air for freshness .I love dark roasted beans. These look dark roasted but when I opened the bag they lacked the deep, roasted smell.I ground them and made espresso in my Moka Pot and my impression is still the same. They have nice flavour but just not as deep as my Starbucks Espresso beans.I also noticed many broken beans when I was putting them in my airtight container.Good value at this price but probably will not use them on their own.
