Don't waste your money
Left bag is decent, belt sucks, right bag is completely useless. Took off the right bag and put on the old Gatorback one I was using. Gatorback has numerous pockets for chisels, nail sets, drivers, etc. CLC belt gets wider in the back so most of the hammer holders, tape holders, etc. won't fit in the back. So if you want to hang an impact driver(the Dewalt works well with a tape holder in the back on my old belt), you're out of luck. Pushes the side bags forward to where they're in your way all the time. Going to put the old belt back on. Problem is the old one is 20+ years old and raggedy. Will probably outlast all this other junk produced currently. McGuire Nicholas really screwed up when they stopped making the old belt. Old belt is far better than current junk, this CLC and the Occidental included. I just don't understand why these clowns think that you're just supposed to drop all your tools into the side pouch and search for them all day every time you want to pull something out. For all the years that these goofs have been making these things, they're still not any good at it. You can put all the super duper high grain cowhide you want on this thing, doesn't work for squat.

Good for the money
Significant other does rough framing and this is the best one for the money that we've found so far. Bought it years ago and it's still going even though it takes a beating. It's almost worn out so we're going to order another one of these. Gets the job done.

quality that will last a lifetime
hands down, the highest quality set of bags i've ever owned. a gift from my father, i would never have paid the price myself. that said, they are sweet. the leather is incredibly high quality, the stitching is tight, with no loose strings, every stress point is riveted. the pocket layout is intuitive, everything is where you think it should be.ok that was the rave. couple things i did, the black nylon handles, cut them right off and flame sealed the edge. no regret there. the handles get in the way of the tape pocket.neetsfoot oil. this leather out of the box is stiff. even with treatment, it will take a long break in period. my girl got a good giggle when i cooked dinner wearing them. i've now taken to keeping them wrapped around a five gallon bucket so it will take a shape. honestly, with no treatment, i think it would take years to break these bags in. i think it may take that long even with modest treatment (don't get carried away with neetsfoot or mink oil, and only use high quality natural oils, i only use kiwi ymmv) maybe running over them with a mack truck a few times will soften things up. anyone tries that get back to me, let me know how it went.lastly, the CLC 21110 Leather Suspenders are matching; same leather, color, hardware, etc. and are well worth the additional $40 (2013 price) comfort isn't the first word you think of when trying on a rig. but this combination is comfortable, fully loaded with tools and nails, it really helps to put some of the weight on your shoulders and allows you to loosen the belt for a little breathing room.as i said, i wouldn't have bought these for myself. but they are without a doubt, the nicest bags i've ever owned. i fully expect this will be the last rig i will ever use.

the pocket layout is better. Pros
Have this and the Style N Craft 17 pocket (98-43417). In short, I prefer the Style N Craft over this, the pocket layout is better.Pros: The color is a gorgeous reddish copper brown, you're not going to find a better looking bag. I wish the Style N Craft was this color. It's a thick, heavy leather, 3-4mm all around. It comes very stiff, it's been minimally oiled in production. It could use a light oiling to help break it in, but you could just wear it and never think about that again. The stitching and rivets all look good. Solid bag.Cons: The pocket layout. On the dominant-hand bag the pockets here are all wrong, It has a hammer loop, which is fine, and one medium-sized outer pocket. Now if they put two small, smaller pockets on the outside that'd be better. Inside the bag, there is one pencil slot, but space for two (the Style n Craft has two). The A few small changes and this would be a better belt.

Thus rendering a very important part is the tool belt useless. Not very happy about having to pay somebody ...
The rivets that are supposed to be holding the leather hammer loop together were not properly installed. Thus rendering a very important part is the tool belt useless. Not very happy about having to pay somebody to do it the right way, after spending $160 on this product.
