This play food is AMAZING! I did all kinds of research on the best play food on the market, and everyone pretty much agreed that the Learning Resources brand food, and the Melissa and Doug wooden food were the best options. I love Melissa and Doug but I knew I didn't want wooden food because it's not very detailed. I found this set and decided to try it out, along with a few Learning Resources brand food. This set is far superior. It's a larger size but still small enough to fit in all the pans, bowls and plates. It has great detail so every item was easily recognizable for my 3 year old. Most importantly, it's quality is AMAZING. There is almost no give at all when you squeeze the food. It is extremely sturdy plastic. I imagine this food will hold up very well over time. I absolutely recommend this set.

Finally someone has done it right! We have had 12 children and bought every quality play food out there within the last 20 years, and this is by far the best so far! This play food is very realistic harder plastic, perfect size, and the paint doesn't come off either. We were loving the new sprouts play food, but with toddlers they tend to chew on that brand because it's rubbery like teething toys and the paint comes off and items get ruined with missing paint and chew marks. We have had these for over 3 months now with continual daily play from my 5 little kids and 1 grandchild and they still look brand new! We can't wait for Melissa and Doug to come out with other sets like breakfast and lunch sets, along with pizza, taco's, real meat burgers, salad, different cookies and goodies etc. We have both of these new dinner sets and the fill em up bowl sets also.

Melissa and Doug products are my go to place for quality toys. This play food surpasses any other that I’ve come across. It’s more detailed than most others out there and the color( other than the meats) is more realistic. The kids love it and are not as picky about the meat color 😊 it’s well made ,washable in warm sudsy water,and should last for generations.

Hey everyone, I bought this dinner set to go with my 19-month old's recently purchased play kitchen (his kitchen set only came with a hamburger and hotdog so we were looking for some add ons). Package arrived in great condition with no damage to any of the items. Good quality plastic and nice realistic coloring. Great variety of food groups (they come labelled by food group in the box). It says it is dishwasher safe, but I honestly prefer to hand wash things like this so I can't attest to that. Always satisfied with our purchases from Melissa & Doug, would absolutely recommend this set.

M&D is my go-to for any play foods for the kids. They are always made really well & hold up great. They will be used for many years to come. Yes, they cost more, but these are a thicker, heavier plastic & not thin cheap plastic like other competitors. I loved that a menu was included to give the kids ideas of 'meals' to order & prepare.

I researched so many different brands of play food and finally stumbled upon Melissa & Doug Combine and Dine Dinners ; the quality of it is amazing. My worry was that I was going to buy play food that would barely last a day. This food is very good quality, thick and has some solid weight to it. I definitely was skeptical paying $85 for 2 boxes of play food but honestly I would recommend it to anyone who plans to keep it in the house for a long time. My 2 year old absolutely loves playing with it in his kitchen
